    Hello,

I'm debating between the ARE V series (cab high) vs the MX series (high-rise) topper. The MX series is not out yet so I would have to wait to place an order...can someone with a cab high topper provide the measurement between bed floor (top of groove) to ceiling?

I built bed drawers/sleeping platform and I just want to make sure I have enough head room as I sleep in the back of the bed.

    TIA

I don't have measurements for you, but it's a good question.
I got are DCU, lowest size, and it's actually sticking above my truck cab a few inches which was a surprise for me, I thought it was supposed to be flat with the cab... Not a big deal for me though 20230408_184232.jpg

I don't have any useful measurements for you since I'm in a 2nd gen, but you'll be probably be a lot happier with the MX series if you're sleeping in the back on a platform. I'm not sure how thick your bedding will be, but I'm able to sit upright with room above my head in my high rise cap. Cab high I was hunched over.

Good points. I can't imagine the 2nd gen Tundras being much different. I had a Tacoma with a high rise topper and I have the measurement from the floor to the ceiling. If someone can provide the same measurement for a tundra with a cab high topper, Ill know how many inches Ill lose/gain. The ARE MX high rise topper is supposed to be available this month but that is speculation at the moment. Otherwise I'd order that over the cab high V Series

Unless you're set on ARE, Leer/Century have their high rise options for 6.5' bed 3rd gens available now.

Right on. I’ve had several caps over the years and have learned the dealer makes all the difference in product quality.
