Finished the Badland jack mount build. Super simple design to hold the lift post underneath, and fully supports the jack by the skid plate. Corner braces hold the rear of the jack, while two flat bars tuck into the front valance. Eight stainless bolts go into rivet nuts in the bed, while one (maybe two) strap hold the jack in place. Paint next.

Finally gave it a good spring cleaning and wash. Truck was coated in mud from melting snow and frost coming out on the gravel roads. After thoroughly spraying down the underbody used some ultimate compound to cut the swirl marks and scratches on my truck. Normally I stick to Meguires products but taking some advice from a forum member I tried the new Turtle wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Acrylic Black Wax. This stuff shined up my truck nicer than when I drove it off the lot. Mirror glass finish and the blue metallic flake just popped.
Waited the recommended 24 hours to cure before taking for a spin and was met with some rain, water just beaded off like a champ, I am sold on the black wax!

Also picked up a 12” stainless BAM/DDI system from another member on the forum, repainted with black high temp paint and installed this morning. A quick 30 minute install and man is this exhaust sweet

keep your eye out for a resonator. You think it sounds great now, wait until it’s much crisper along with being silent at highway speeds.

    Too many mods to come
Whipple and smaller pulley ordered. Need to order the Prospeed tb adapter, rcf throttle body and 750s.

Pops ordered a prospeed intake but he was able to get the maggy box in so I’ll run that prospeed intake (wrapped in gold of course) for now to get it tuned with the larger pipe for now until I make a canister style intake.

oh definitely. I was initially going to go with the 10" system with resonator but couldn't pass up the deal on the 12". I figured I would see how loud it got without the resonator and see if the drone will bug me and go from there. The 12" system is definitely louder than I thought it would be, but not bad at cruising speed, especially with the windows up. I only found one spot where the frequency resonates enough to be annoying long term and that where the resonator would likely cancel it out. @biebs96 so you're saying the resonator will crisp up the sound a bit too or the throttle response?

In my opinion it helps with both. Also I have 35s on my truck, the throttle response is meh anyway.

But what I will say is I ran the 12” (found used as well) and added the resonator about 3-4 weeks later and it was a game changer.

A few weeks after adding it, my wife and two kids drove 2200 miles round trip for a vacation without one complaint of noise/drone.

Satin black roof, 18” KO2’s, satin black powder coated steel rims, tri fold tonneau cover. Led lights interior, exterior. Trd pro grill. 13” ryonnair antenna. OEM LED headlights.
I didn’t end up going with a DD exhaust, but I got a used (brand new) DD resonator from a fellow forum member and it did an amazing job on my system. It definitely changed the sound, more of a warble at idle and toned down the exhaust note to make it sound more deep imo. Amazing sounds on throttle and I’d say it got rid of almost all of the drone I had around 1,500rpm. I noticed it highway speeds, but also low rpm city cruising the sound changed as well, for the better.
