You are not kidding. Have a dream that when the auto sales slow and are really down want to go in and on the contract for a car instead of trying to negotiate just write in a negative market adjustment and watch their response.

I paid $15k for my Corolla, 2 years old at the time. It's a decent car but I wouldn't pay more than $20k for one new.

I think they might be up to $25k depending on options and hybrid or not but that seems like the right price range to me. At $50k my response would be the following, let alone at $70k.

Good point. I might consider $50k for that, especially if it's a 5 seater (which I was sad to discover the Civic Type R is not).

IDK, for me it would have to be than a 3 cylinder turbo getting 300 hp. It would have to have awesome handling as well without feeling every crack in the road. Not sure if you can get that in a Corolla but I wouldn’t mind taking a test drive to see.

$50k+ for a Corolla? Yikes. I know the GR is supposed to be bad ass, but guess I'm getting old. At that pricepoint there is a lot of competition / other vehicles I would consider before the Corolla.

For $50k, I'd rather get a $40k Tundra and add a SC and trane horn.
I don't care if a Corolla has 600hp. No one's looking in their rear view, seeing a Corolla and GTFO of the way.
