Whew those are expensive wheels. Nice but to much for me. To each his own!
I truly didn’t notice a power change after the weight increase with new tires and Rims. Turbos build boost quickly under a load and that’s why for the Gen3 guys were not feeling the power loss like most do One turbo for 3 cylinders eliminates any turbo lag…
We’re lucky we have this set up. I would hate to spend this kind of money and feel a power loss but that’s just me. I read the stories of the Jeep guys putting on 35s and how they struggle to get to 80 on the highway. That’s a tough pill to swallow when we spend this kind of money. Again to each his own no judging just another oppionion.

Honestly the Cooper is a better tire imo
    Smoother and quieter!

What is your tire size? The 2/1 looks just about perfect.

I tried to keep unsprung weight low but I don’t want it to look mini vanish lol . These are 285 75r18 Goodyear wrangler (59-60lbs) they measure 34.5” on the truck. This kit looks awesome but it fits ride a little stiffer with this kit .

I ran 295/70/18 on a bone stock 2022/TRD and had zero rub on these tires only and stock TRD 18 Wheels.
    Cooper Discover AT3 XLT
Can’t speak for any other brands. But I now have Recon Grapplers and the coopers are smoother and quieter. Zero noise actually. I think this tire is overlooked a lot. Very aggressive look to tire. I luv my grapplers don’t get me wrong but the Coopers are in a class of there own. I’ve ridden in KO2 there good too but again the coopers are smoother. Feels like a street tire.

Do you have the SL rated recon grapplers in that size, or E rated?

    I have the D Rated 305/70/18
The coopers are E rated and ride smoother. Again now I’m knit picking but there is a difference.

Regarding the 295/70r18 coopers, I would have assumed a harsh ride with such a high load index of 129? You are saying it was actually a better ride?

I know right but not at all
I have now Nitto Recon Grappler 305/70/18
Load range D with 40psi in them and
With a rated max of 50psi
    But had the
Coopers AT3 XLT 295/70/18 load range E with 80psi max but ran them at 45psi and the coopers road softer. Not huge diff but could tell.

what’s amazing about the coopers is there weight. Mine was 61 lbs the Nittos I have now are 68 lbs and basically the same dimensions pretty much. The Nittos are .5 taller but all else is the same. Do the extra 7lbs per tire is the more aggressive tread and height but the Coopers are still very aggressive looking.

I had the same issue with TRD 3” lift and rubbing the sway bar at full lock. I have Toyo RT/trail 295/65r20 on the stock Platinum wheels. The Spider Trax 1” spacers solved it. No rub and high quality hub centric product made especially for our gen3 trucks.

Super happy with my Cooper AT3 XLT. Rides great. This might be common.. but i didn't drop psi for the whole week i drove with this nail in my tire. I have no clue how long it was in there before i noticed it. Warranty with Discount Tire meant i just had to pay $49 for a replacement. 20230418_163141.jpg

    Lots of stuff!
49 bucks is a great deal for a new tire!

Did the warranty cost you anything?

Yeah the warranty cost about $40/tire when i got them last year. I figured if i just replaced one it'll be worth it.

So this replacement was technically free covered under that warranty... but i renewed it for that tire for another $49.

Do you buy warranty per tire?

How do they know which 1/4 is warrantied or not?

I'm still on the fence about this, tire insurance

Not my post, but yes. You pay for the "insurance" for each tire. They keep track of them the same way manufacturers do. All tires have a serial number (dot registration) stamped on the sidewall.

Had the Cooper AT3 XLTs and were a very nice tire. Wouldn’t call them very aggressive looking though. Mild to moderately aggressive at best.

upload_2023-4-29_20-52-11.jpgWanted to add one more thing that may help some of you. On my Fuel Rebel 6
18x9 I did not need to run any hub spacers. Discount tire said the wheels came with 2 diff sizes in box and neither fit. So they mounted the rim and found out it fit the hub perfectly. No spacer needed so I was happy that I didn’t have to worry about it. I’ve had the truck up to 80 and felt zero vibration so I trust what Discount tire told me plus I know the guys I don’t see them BS me. Great team over there!

I just got these on today thanks to @Jinkx for the help. 295/70/18 Cooper at3 XLT. Bone stock TRD off road. No rubbing on normal street driving. Mud flaps are still on the truck. Just as quiet as the OEM Michelins and still super comfortable on the road.

AMAZING HOW MUCH BETTER IT LOOKED WHEN DONE. Pics don’t do it justice.
When you see the two tires together it’s funny because the Coopers are HUGE compared to the stock Michelins.
Def the biggest tire you can fit and still not rub.

These trucks just luv big tires!!!!
    It fits the truck…
Met Dustin and his wife when he came to buy the tires. Class act couple. I enjoyed the afternoon talking and watching this beautiful truck turn into a beast!!!
