When a rock or large branch pierce the battery underneath and the truck ignites into a fireball, let me know if you feel the same. :burp:

Before I post a WTB ad in the marketplace ...

Anyone on here a serial Android phone person who updates their phone every 3-5 years, but still has your old device laying around and you'd like some beer money?

I need a tablet/phone fitting this bill for a fun project with the kids:
    • Supports Android 9.0 or higher **
    • Has built-in NFC support **
    • Wiped/reset to defaults
    • Not locked to a Google account and/or Corporate managed

** You can look up NFC support and Android support by searching for your device at the top of this page https://www.gsmarena.com/ then look at the details as shown:

If you can't find one here pick up a Pixel 4a on Swappa. Meets what you need and it's around $100 and they're solid phones. Make sure it's an unlocked version if you plan on doing anything with root access

Don't need to root it. Just need it to use as a simplified NFC tag writer.

And I'm willing to trade straight-up for some pretty awesome stuff too, read on...

Some example options I was scoping out:
    • I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 as one tablet option under $80, and as cheap as $60.
    • Samsung Galaxy A20 looks like a good $40 option, same with the A12.
    • Sony Xperia L3, I see one on fleaBay in great unlocked B shape for $60.
    • LG Stylo 4 looks like another similar $50ish option?

I'm not too picky. But rather than reward Swappa or deal with CL and fleaBay folks, I'd rather build up someone's Tundra slush fund / beer fund, or better yet I'd love to trade for stuff also, like maybe ....

You reminded me I never told the story here. I live pretty much across the street from my parents house. We both have these homelink adapters installed. I was opening/closing their garage when opening/closing mine. Had to wipe the memory and program again in order to get it to stop. Seems kinda odd. I know they are the same device but seems unlikely they would have the same codes at the same time for multiple cycles.

Wish I had a device for you to trade/donate but don't think I have anything compatable.

Does anyone have any experience or even seen one of our first gens with a poptop camper shell? I am really interested in swapping my regular shell for one like those found on https://www.topotoppers.com

Since I do a lot of camping out of the back of my truck I just feel like the extra room in the back would be AMAZING. I could actually live inside and not have to have the tailgate and back opened just to cook and whatnot - This absolutely sucks when it rains and I don't want some puny weather to limit my broverlanding status. Also, it's a better alternative for me compared to an actual camper as I can still fit my work tools, lawnmower, weedeater, etc. in the back. Thoughts? plz

I just received my timing belt kit from Summit and everything looks good but the water pump has no markings of being an Asin pump. There are some nicks and pits on the finished part where it will mate up to the block. I contacted Summit about my concerns about the wp being an authentic Asin and the representative said they order the kits directly fom Asin. Am I being to paranoid or this something you all would be concerned about?20230413_215603#1.jpg 20230413_215859#1.jpg 20230414_194539.jpg20230414_194331.jpg

I'm not one to pay full price for damaged parts - particularly when I'm unwilling to change them any time soon.
That things been knocked about. Probably fine, but I'd want it replaced. Why go to the effort to install "probably"?

If anybody wants to make a drive to northwest PA, the marching band my daughter is in is raffling off a whole butchered pig and freezer. Tickets are about the same as a 6 pack, PM and I'll send you a link.

Notice how dull the paint is where the fender meets the hood, but it doesn't transfer on the hood. Someone's been all up in that engine bay doing something in the past.

Great parts truck though. Especially if someone needed to do a full interior swap. Offer $3k then upgrade the guts on your truck, sell it again for $3k

Maybe for the rear interior seats, but not the front unless you just want the frame of the seat. Not sure where you’d find a 2006 donor frame other than a salvage lot. That frame looks like it was never washed.
