Hello, my first post..Just purchased a Tundra Platinum 6.5 bed...I was a Ford Diesel driver many trucks many years just needed a change..wanted another pick-up but not a diesel and not a F-150...so here I am lol...
The question i have the truck has a real soft ride are all the Tundras that way or just the Platinum.. ? I did not get the air suspension, maybe that would of helped...the other, maybe not use to it yet ..but it seem sluggish on the low end start.. I don't have the hybrid not sure if that would of helped down the bottom, but once it spools up it run great..

    Thanks

DO you have AVS, the 5 modes you can set the shocks to? Basic truck with no AVS has 3 ( AVS and Air are 2 different things )

    Welcome.

Were you looking for a rougher ride, or are you hauling heavy? The 3rd Gen Tundra has coils in the rear and not leaf packs, so it rides more like a car and less like a truck.

Thanks for the reply's ..no avs and not sure if I have any shock adjustment...and yes it rides like a car, just seems strange to me....I only have the truck a week and my wife fell asleep on a trip and so did my friend the other day...Do all models ride soft?

    Thanks again

    What’s wrong with stock?
My wife thinks the Tundra naps are great. Enjoy the new truck.

AVS gives you some control over ride softness / stiffness. Air is for if you tow weight. So if you dont plan to tow a ton.....enjoy the ride. My Tundra in Comfort Mode ( AVS ) rides smoother than my wifes Lexus

If you are used to riding around in a heavy duty truck, yes, the Tundra, and all other half tons will have a very soft ride. They don't have the payload capacity of a HD truck, and are built more for a blend of people hauling and cargo hauling. The new Tundra even more so with it's coil sprung suspension, much like the Rams. Enjoy the comfort.

I have both a 22 f350 and a 22 1794, the tundra is an 80s caddy in ride compared the ford.
