If I had this part I would dissect it to figure it out.

Finally got around to figuring this out. Wired the OEM TRD Light Bar switch PT45A-34220-AA to a 20” Heretic Studios light bar. Had to use a couple relays and buy the connector with some wire terminals for the switch to “plug into”.

I’ll do a write up of how I did it. The OEM switch was the most expensive part.

Anyone find a switch that fits where the manual headlight adjust switch is? My only blank.

I don’t think so. The past couple of posts have been integrating the OEM light switch with an aftermarket light bar. From what I’ve read, the OEM light bar is Can-Bus

That was a fantastic write up. I have automatic running boards, so that switch spot isn’t open on mine. I ended up using the Rave switch. I don’t love it, and of the two I ordered, one was defective, but it’s fine.

Thank you for the write up! Going to order the parts and see if I can’t make it myself. Ever thought about selling the harness?

Never considered it. The crimping tool is expensive, probably cost prohibitive. That’s why I bought the terminals precrimped to the wire. Tried it myself the first time and didn’t have the right tool

I’m trying to use an oem button to control my Baja designs light bar, I have the button and the wiring connector. I’m not sure what wires on the BD harness(2 red 1 black)go into which spots on the connector(6 pin).

Do you have the OEM 'TRD Pro Light Bar' switch as noted previously in this thread or another button?

I really, really appreciate this write up and I’m about to attempt to make my own harness to do the same.

a couple questions if you don’t mind:
    1. Coming off the TRD switch, the pin12 to the outer mirror #6 pin; is this ignition/switched power or constant power? Wondering if I can also tap in the TRD running lights on heritage grill here as well if ignition power
    2. Are you able to use your lightbar at the same time as headlights are on with high beams?
    3. Where did you end up tucking the project box?
    4. Just to confirm you have a power wire from the 30-pin relay to the self-locking relay with a wire spliced into the input and output of the self-locking relay (creating basically a jump) to the fuse to the positive battery, correct?

    1. The outer mirror is not constant power, it is switched (or at least it is on my Limited). The power to those switches is very minimal, the wire size has to be a#26ga or so, so not enough to handle running much load at all.
    2. I am able to use the light bar independent of anything. It can come on with high beams, fogs, etc., it is completely separate from any other lighting, it can be turned on/off even when the truck is not running.
    3. I tucked the project box left above the brake pedal (this is essentially just behind and slightly below the switch). There's quite a bit of room up there. I left some slack in the wires to work with the box on the floorboard and then tucked it up out of the way when I was done. Part of my note #14.
    4. Correct, it's basically jumped to the fused side of the battery (+). The splice is before the input and output because the wire size wouldn't fit into the terminals on the self locking relay, see my notes #10 and #11.

Worked great. I am a little mad at myself for not finding this sooner as I had purchased another trd light bar switch that was $60 vs this on that I used since wanted to maintain the wiring diagram.

I found power in fuse box as on my hybrid the battery is under back seat, also hid the box behind the plastic side snap in panels top of fenders under the hood. Works great thanks for your right up wouldn’t have been able to get it done so easily without it.

I did notice the switch in the instructions is little more white in back light vs others in my 2024 I didn’t try the $60 switch to compare but will some other day. But still looks and works great. Thanks again for the awesome right up.
