I'd be so ecstatic if I won some 35" tires or some 17" 6 lug wheels that fit. I don't know why Toyota made the 2nd gens 5 lug and the 3rd gens 6 lug but different from every other 6 lug Toyota. They had such a good thing going across models across decades and thru it away. Stupid ass Mike Sweers.

Highly recommend the Petrified Forest if you get a chance. It was worth the stop for us. Cell phone pics don't do it justice. The Blue Mesa trail is the best I think.

Been driving a few hours now with an unsolicited body massage. Anyone know of a shop that can balance a large tire in Flag? I accidentally knocked off the counterweights on my front wheel yesterday.

That’s in Baker up the 15 from Barstow. Same place that has that popular Greek restaurant, Alien Fresh Jerky, and a brake fluid stain from my first attempt at the Mojave trail :anonymous:

It's been a lot of years since I visisted that forest. We did a job in Snowflake, AZ and spent some time discovering around there.

Snowflake / Taylor is like going back in time. I remember driving through there on Sundays in college and EVERYTHING was closed.

I was there about 12 weeks starting in mid-March of 2000. We would fly into Show Low and stayed in Pine Top. Nothing like having to get on a scale with your luggage before being assigned one of 6 seats (7 if they opted not to have a co-pilot for that flight) on the plane. That area reminded me a lot of the area I grew up in up in the very northern tip of Idaho (basically on the Canadian border).
