Looks interesting for those who need or want an off road oriented HD truck, or want to avoid turbo 6’ers or variable displacement V8’s in 1/2 tons and want an off road oriented truck.

I don’t need a 3/4 ton truck, but the AEV version is tempting nonetheless, particularly living in big critter country where I drive a lot (majority) at night when they’re out and about. That beefy steel bumper might actually survive running over a deer without taking much damage, at least if it’s the same material specs as other AEV bumpers.

Wonder what the MSRP is on that bad boy? (Didn't watch the video)

I have seen the 1/2 ton ZR2 for $72,000. I bet the HD Zr2 will be $100,000 at least.

    They haven’t released pricing.

I would be surprised if it exceeded GMC Denali HD pricing. The 1/2 ton ZR2 starts about $3K higher in price than the High Country. The 2024 High Country HD with a Duramax starts at $82K, so my best guess is about $85K with a Dirtymax for the ZR2. Maybe $75K for a 6.6L gasser. Option it up though and it will be easy to push well past $90K or more.

AEV is pretty proud of their stuff, and it’s priced accordingly.

As a Silverado owner, I will say that the underbody skid plates are promising. The aftermarket options for my 2015 in this regard are practically non-existent.

That there will be a 3/4 ton truck over 100,000 dollars:)
