    how much trans fluid should i add from here? this is the reading i’ve got after a drain and fill

    If you took the reading on cold engine, it is good, maybe a tad overfilled. If the engine is at running temperature, you need to add ATF to the HOT notches. If not at running temperature, do so and see if the reading is at the HOT notches, adjust accordingly.

    sorry! this is what it’s at when hot. i’ve checked multiple times after driving and this is where it it’s at. how much should I add from here?

    Add a 1/4 qt. at a time, until it's between the two upper marks.

    But I'd add a point to it, be sure to fire up the engine and shift through all the gears a few times to get fluid moving before checking again.

    Last thing I want to see is OP back on here 2 months from now with, "I've added 2qt of fluid and it's still at the same level!" :rofl:

    Don't let a kid out smart you.
    Lucky guy. You actually get a dipstick. My trans is fully sealed. Mins the drain plug and the annoying check plug which is always over full when the trucks off.
