?

To Overland or Not to Overland

  1. I would like to join an Overland Detachment.

  2. I would like to enjoy trail leader, lead day trip(s) and return back to base camp to sleep.

  3. I would like to explore the trails by me, myself and I.

84-95 Toyota Pickups/4runners. 2 different generations of 2 different vehicles all use the same frame so fairly easy to cover multiple vehicles with one plate design
You’d be very surprised (and wrong)

I feel like 35's on a lifted 2nd gen is the smallest allowable tire size for the trail.
35's on a 2nd gen are like a 33's on a 1st gen. They might take a little effort to make fit, but not too much.
37's on a 2nd gen are like 35's on a 1st gen. Not impossible to make fit, but most people are deterred and just stick with the slightly smaller tires.
Anything beyond that is just fucking cool regardless of gen lol

Yea, it is a bummer not being able to head out there with y’all this month. I’ll be out there in June though so all is not lost. Since I’ll be wheeling solo might have to call you up to pull me out when I do something stupid.

Edit: No, wait, this is @helidave country, I can do something really stupid so I have to call both of you to double pull me out.

Yea I forgot @helidave was local. You, @helidave , Kyle and anyone else is welcome to join me in the last week of June for some wheeling. We’ll be staying in the Williams area just off I-40. Bringing the whole family in a large Motorhome pulling the Tundra on a flatbed.

Welcome back one of our favorite sponsors, Hardwired Toys! If you don’t already know #hardwiredtoys you probably haven’t needed any 12 volt help in Arizona. James is the man with a plan every time we reach out with questions and suggestions on what is the best solution to stereo, dashcam, remote start, alarm, ham radio, lighting wiring or any other wiring mess you can get yourself into with electronics in your #tundra . He sells and installs it all - maybe you’ll even get something installed by him at camp after the raffle…

Beware his super secret disguise - he may wear a beanie and become unrecognizable.
