Hopefully I'm not repeating previously answered questions here, but how will the top part (along the edge adjacent to the hood) fit? Will it wrap around that edge so it's not visible with the hood closed?

When do you expect to have installation instructions published (or any photos for that matter)? Will it be possible to install without taking the grill surround off the truck?

Last one - will the painted parts (lunar rock specifically) be ready to ship end of May as well?


Thanks in advance! Seems like this product is a great compromise between expensive/laborious paint or wrap!

 

1. The final production tool hasn't been finalized, but we might have that edge "turn down" a bit to create the effect you are describing. But the end result will be not being able to tell that the part isn't OEM. We want these parts to look like you bought the truck that way.

2. We'll have full installation instructions published with a companion video (hopefully) at the same time that these parts start shipping. We don't y'all calling us for step-by-steps!

3. No, please allow 2-4 additional weeks for these to ship. We will do our best to get them all out around the same time, but our orders have been trending toward more painted parts than less. To maximize time and minimize cost (that's how we make the painted parts so affordable) we will be shooting full-color batches in order of highest quantity. Example: 773,822 Army Green but only 4 Lunar Rock? Army Green gets painted first. We have to clear the paint lines every time we put in a new color.

And you're absolutely right. These are meant to be inexpensive, EASY solutions to ugly chrome! Also, wraps don't last very long on chrome, if they even manage to get them to go on. We have a lot of wrap shops that love our product for that reason!

 

Guess celestial silver will be at the back of the line. lol

 

There's a lot of colors that only have a couple to do. I'll see if I can shuffle the colors around a little

We won't ship them if they DON'T work. Can you imagine how embarrassing it'd be for us to have to refund everyone and admit "yeah, these just ain't it, chief"?

Really want to order this for my Blueprint 1794, but don't want to do the mustache and leave the fog surround chrome. No eta on that still, I assume?

 

The fog surround bar is probably about 3 months out. If you get the mustache and reserve the foglamp bar, we're going to be giving out an incentive discount to help off-set the fact that you have to pay another round of shipping costs.

Got some REALLY exciting news!!

We're half a step away from a fully formed proto-type! We have someone local and a forum member who just needs to respond to my DM to let us use his truck.

At that point, we'll have some photos of the parts of a truck so those of you who have held back on buying for that reason can get your mouths watered and get in on the pre-purchase.

From that point, we'll fine-tune the part, bring the gentleman back and give him his part (and install it of course). Then we'll have an instructional video on how to install (I promise, it'll be so easy)

tl;dr We are almost done and are right on track for release!

Imperfections are PRESENT in this photo. Like I said, it's a prototype, but we're sanding and refining right now.

I’m in the Bay Area but one of my buddies lives in Rocklin and comes to the Bay Area weekly for work, if I ordered a set do you guys do will call pick ups to save on shipping?

 

Oh yeah! Absolutely!

What would happen is, you'd buy it, with the cost of shipping and once it's picked up we would refund the price of shipping. Your buddy would just need to bring in a printed copy of the order receipt or have the order number (CSxxxx) and your name. Just make sure you either tell me or add it the notes of before you place order... or BOTH! Or email us. We try to make ourselves as easy to contact as possible.

Make sure your buddy has enough cargo space. This box is 4 feet long and kind of wide, which is why the shipping is so expensive.

Wanted to give y'all a little update on the RESERVATION parts (mirror covers, window trim, fog lamp surround, rears). These products are STILL IN DEVELOPMENT and will NOT be shipped out for a while. This is why we are only charging $5 as a refundable deposit. It helps us know that you want the parts and allows us to gauge how many we should make before launching.

Our launch timeline for ALL reservation products is: 3-6 months

Our customer service team has gotten a couple of emails regarding these parts and while most have been calm but curious, one in particular had a little bit of fire to it. We understand you are eager to get these parts, but taking your frustrations out on our staff isn't helpful to anyone and won't get these parts developed any quicker.

If you placed a $5 order on any of the products and are not satisfied for any reason, feel that the 3-6 month waiting period is too long, or simply changed your mind and want your money back, please do not hesitate to send me message on here with your CS order number and I will process a refund, no questions asked.


As for the Grille Surround/Hulk Hogan Mustache we are still on-track to begin sending out stock colors at the end of the month. And Painted parts should start going out towards the middle of June. If this changes, I will post an update in this thread and send an email to anyone who has an active pre-order.

 

AG isn't going to be "stock" item, unfortunately; we will be painting that color to order. But we welcome you (and ALL of our customers) to pick up your order from us at our shop. We refund the shipping price in full when products are picked up!
