If you get limits, get the Camburg/PRP straps.
They don’t stretch at all compared to say dirt king. And hit me up. If you get a measurement, I might have your size.

Well it's been a busy day. Last week I was coming back from Costco, and some knucklehead didn't secure his load properly. So I had to drive over it......
I'm in mid lane change, I come out of the back of the black car in front, smacked that damn black thing just left of center, which in turn took out my radiator and shroud, DAMN!!!
Time to order parts ... their here....
But I got it all back together in a couple of hours!!!

So I got one for you guys, I have been trying to get the truck to pass CA SMOG CK, what a PIA. I had a CK ENG light, turns out the MAF was SHOT..... OK new MAF, 2nd, the truck came with a K&N Racing intake. It somehow ($$$) passed SMOG 2 yrs ago at the dealers, (not Toyota), who I purchased it from. This year, SMOG guy said because of CK ENG, can't proceed with the test, also need a "Sticker" for the intake.
I ended finding a used intake system, installed that, took it to SMOG. I get told I need to drive hundreds of miles to nowhere reset the damn thing. G'rrr!
Screw that, spoke with a service advisor at local Toyota shop, he said all I needed to do is drive 40mph, for about 30 minutes or so, but do not stop. H'mmm
So I tried it, and no shit, it worked.... Codes gone, no engine light.
    No problems getting SMOGGED!
Anybody else ever heard that slow short drive to reset the truck thing?????

Common thing. There are obd2 readiness/monitor tests that have to be set before it'll pass smog.

That way you can't just clear codes in the parking lot to 'pass'.

Delivered what was to be my parts truck to it's new owner. :( There are so many thing I like about the first gens more, but just couldn't find the time for the ground up build I planned to do. Enjoy your first gens guys. I'll be jealous. I like my 2.5 gen plenty, but a part of me will always want a first gen.

Got any pics? I don't think anyone here has posted what a toasted MAF sensor looks like.

Yeah, that's one of the drive cycles. I'm not sure if it's the one that requires the 8 hour cold soak prior to getting it done or not. If you want, I can try to find the TSB that outlines the details of the drive cycles that need to be completed. I posted it years ago on TS since I was trying to find a way to do it with the truck jacked up in the rear due to the heavy traffic that existed around me. :p

The old time, Toyota mechanic with the blown 60s mustang fastback username "mustang" something or other told me about it.

Yeah, but to be fair, it does vary from manufacturer and even between some make/models of the same manufacturer. Completing a single readiness cycle on my old '99.5 GTI VR6 was an absolute joke with what you had to do. Stupid part was, if you had VAG-COM or a similar tool, within a couple of clicks you could force it to test and be done in minutes.

Had a real Toyota key cut for the truck today. The generic one just don’t feel or look as good lol. It’s the little things right?
$12 off scamazon and then $3.50 to get er cut at the local shop.
