Bilstein 5100's, Morimoto gen 2 XB headlights and fog lights, TRD sway bar and skid plates. Nothing else needed!
    Morning fellow Tundra enthusiasts...

I spent the weekend doing some offroading, and I smashed the ever loving hell out of my running boards. I dont do extensive 4wheeling, but I've had enough trail rash from the rides that I do to now consider a lift.

Im currently running bilstein 5100's which give me 2.25" total lift. I am running 33" tires, and I think what I really want/need are 35's.

Here is my dilemma. This is my daily driver, and I have had several back surgeries so comfort is really important to me. The Bilsteins started out pretty stiff, but have softened with some miles and I'm happy with them. I just want a little more height for trails.

So, please fire away with recommendations. After some googling, it looks like I can get 35's with a 3" lift, or maybe a 4". Def dont want anything bigger than that.

I dont like Rancho, Rough Country, etc type lifts. I've seen quite a few threads on the Icon, but Im not sure how it rides. Anyone with experience to offer would be greatly appreciated.

I fit 295/70/18s (34.6") tires with 5100s on the middle setting. Just need a wheel with the right offset to make them fit. I didn't have to do any trimming at all. There's tons of threads in the forums if you spend some time looking you'll find the right set up for you, but you should be fine fitting a 35" with the current set up you have as long as the wheel offset works.

Armor for all your Toyota needs!
There are so many different options and variables out there for suspension systems and can really get extremely overwhelming quick.

Personally with my experiences ICON makes an amazing product, offering a good digressive valving system internally to really firm up when the suspension starts working but still able to offer a good ride on road.
Downside that I have seen and heard in the past is the ICON's can be a little to stiff for more daily driving applications, my next best recommendation would be a FOX system, my personal favorite.
FOX offers a linear design which more or less acts as a "live action" valving - being able to adapt and control the terrain accordingly to equal out to great ride quality overall. Offering the adjustability of up to 3'' in the front, with a set of aftermarket control arms, you can really push the limits of your rig while still maintaining great ride quality and performance.

3'' is the baseline for stuffing 35's in the wheel wells properly, just with some inner wheel well manipulation and either a 1.25'' wheel spacer or a proper offset wheel will get you clearing perfectly.

Shoot me a DM if you want, I can get some price breakdowns for you on a few options and get some recommendations listed out for you for wheel specs and tire combos :fistbump:

It's your daily. I'd stay under 3 inches and run 33s. You don't want to have to chance any angles, spedo, or gears.

Bilsteins or Fox are both tried and true.
