FS: Falcon Front Suspension $700 shipped

I have for sale a BRAND NEW set of front Falcon Shocks and OEM Springs from an Offroad truck with less than 35k miles. These shocks are incredibly comfortable and I recently changed to Icon 2.5 VS IR and to be honest, I'd 100% go back to the Falcons as they are far more comfortable and responsive for my daily needs. The reason I'm selling these brand new units is due to the shocks having difficulty in extreme cold climates. I live where it is always -30F in the winter and often temperatures swing up to 50F; this in-turn caused issues for my shocks keeping the o-ring oil seal intact.

There are x4 settings (heights) available with near-new (under 7k miles) top-hats & bushings. If you want to upgrade your truck's OE suspension and live south of Lander, WY, these shocks will greatly improve your truck enjoyment! Let me know what lift-setting you desire and I will throw the 4x4 OE TRD Offroad springs on the height-setting you want, torque everything accordingly, and send them to you for a quick, 1 hour per side) front suspension swap. I went with the MED setting and it was a perfect rake and raised my front by about 1".

I will answer any questions and will be 100% honest on all things asked. Do some research yourself though...If I lived in a warmer climate, I'd 100% be rocking these over my brand new Icons. Let me know if you're interested.

 

Those are 2wd springs? I may want those if someone does not want both

 

I apologize for the confusion...I edited the post to affirm that these are 4x4 OE TRD Offroad Springs with ~35k miles on them.

 

Does the "medium" setting equal 1" of lift? I can only assume, as there isn't any info on their websites other than { 0-2.25" of lift }.

Most understand that 2" = level and 2.25" would look nose high (as even a 2" level can look nose high from the right angle).

 

That's what I got in lift and what I had when installed...it was perfect for me and ride amazing!

That does look nice - but just to clarify, you set on the "med" setting? or Level? The pics make it look level to my eye. Also, my understanding is that you were selling a new pair of shock tubes, yet you have some installed? Is this a second pair that is for sale?

 

I was one up from the stock "notch." So yes, MED setting. The bed was loaded heavy (~700lb) with stuff and a couple e-bikes on the trailer hitch...it's deceiving how much was in the bed but it made the appearance look level. Looking back in my logbook, the MED setting left my front end at 23.25" from hub to center on both sides up from my OE setup of 22.3125"...so roughly .9" lift on MED setting.

 

In his first post he states he has switched to Icons. These are brand new front shocks but even new Falcon requires the shock to be paired with a coilover that the user provides. OP is selling the new shocks with the coils he used so you can get everything assembled and then just installed. Its a pretty sweet deal

Yes, I'm following the icon switch and the distinction between the springs and shock tubes. And that Falcon requires separate springs be purchased or transferred from existing truck or other coilover assembly. My question is how are these particular Falcon shock tubes "Brand new", if he's installed them already? "Like new" with a disclaimer of "I only ran them for 2000 miles" etc., would make more sense, unless these particular shock tubes are different from the ones he installed.

A couple things...Falcon setups ONLY work on OEM Front Coil Springs...I experienced an oil seal leaking due to extreme temperature changes...from -40F to 50F parking in a garage, then back to -40F for 15 hours...the constant change in (temperature swings) temperatures caused the O-rings to no longer seal appropriately, or they couldn't keep up...I put in a claim and Teraflex was outstanding to work with; they sent new shocks to swap out and send in the old ones. I was hoping it was a fluke, but it occurred again this last winter where we had larger deltas in temperatures and I noticed them leaking right when they started. I am not moving from where I'm living and would prefer not to have to swap my shocks out every spring...so I acquiesced and went to Icon which have performed fine on my wife's 4runner and my previous trucks in these temperature swings...albeit, I now must now rebuild them every 45k max...for me, that shouldn't be too many times.

The Falcon shocks are outstanding, IF you live in "less" cold environments and one doesn't experience 50 degree + temperature swings in 24 hours. The other thing is, it doesn't occur that often even for those who DO live in these climate zones...but it DOES seem to only occur in extreme temperature-swing-locations.

 

So these are an uninstalled 3rd set? Or the installed 2nd set that also had leaking oil seals.

 

Yes, this is the brand new uninstalled third set. still in the wrappers...so-to-speak...these will also come with near new OEM strut bushings, top-hat nuts, etc. that I couldn't use when I threw the Icons on...
