a dealer did a fix and the noise is gone for the most part. But if I press my back hard, i can still hear something. Still very different from the passenger seat (no noise at all). I will keep an eye on how long it lasts.

EDIT: one day later, the noise is back.... almost identical as before.

I have had my '23 Limited for 4 weeks and 1400 miles. I discovered the creaking noise in my driver's seat back yesterday evening when driving around town. I heard it when I got into the seat, if and when I adjusted my sitting position and sometimes when I would accelerate. I thought for a second that it could've been my fault for being a little heavy. Sounds like it's pretty common though. I'm off next week and will bring it up to my local dealer.

TRD John has the same issue on his sequoia pro I believe.

I have a 23 1794. The sound started at around 500-600 miles. Just took a 600 mile road trip and it was so annoying. I am calling my dealership tomorrow.

Additionally, has anyone had issues with the brown part of the floor mat pulling up?

Also, my steering wheel is slightly to the left. I took it in last week and they said they can't adjust it because Toyota doesn't have specs for it yet???

I took my 1794 in for the squeak. The service advisor drives a new TRD pro and he sat in mine and immediately was like, that is so annoying. They say it is the airbag inside the seat. He said the lumbar, but that is lower than my squeak. Either way, they are replacing the seat.

    Drivers seat is so loud
I was ready to purchase a 2023 Tundra Platinum yesterday, as the paperwork was being prepared I was sitting in the truck and the seat noise was loud an unbearable. Dealer said this is normal, I did not believe them and decided to walk away. How is this normal and only an issue on the drivers side? Does not make sense to me. The truck is beautiful but this was a deal breaker for me. Hopefully they have a fix for this very soon. I am going to to hold off for a few months to see if there is a fix for this.

Just buy it and then take it in the next day and get it fixed. My dealership is replacing the foam inside and most of the seat on Tuesday.

Will do. It is a problem though. My buddy's new sequoia TRD pro does it too. I had a 2022 for 7 months and didn't have this issue. My 2023 I had for 3 weeks and it started.

Just bought a 2023 trd sport a few weeks ago and at 500 miles I am starting to get this same very unpleasant creaking/popping sound from the driver seat back. I’ve unzipped the seat cover and can tell it is coming from the plastic/metal seat back coils/framing. It’s highly annoying. I tried stuffing additional foam in between the factory foam and those coils but doesn’t seem to help. I don’t have a lot of interest in playing wild goose chase with dealers, they've never been much help to me with noise issues. If anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears. 60k for a new truck didn’t expect such cheap quality in the driver seat so soon.

Took my truck on it's first small road trip this past weekend and discovered the drivers side seat back noise within the first 150 miles on the odometer. My guess was the AC seat ducting rubbing and seems like that might be the case based on other reports here. I'll bring it up when it goes in for it's first service and see what the dealer can do.

So bad news. I was supposed to take my truck in this morning for them to replace the seat (or parts of it). They called me yesterday and told me they got a "PDR"(?) And they will not be replacing my seat. They said Toyota will not cover replacing the parts because it is now a known issue that they are working on a fix for and the fix the technician came up with will not fix it.

So basically I'm stuck with it until Toyota comes up with a fix. So please, do not wait to contact your service advisor. The more it's reported the better chance we have of it getting fixed.

Update on my seat. I have about 2300 miles seat time since the march 23rd repair by the Toyota regional technician. So far, the noise has not come back yet.

Interesting. I literally just got a call from a friend of mine who is a corporate attorney at Toyota. He reached out to some specialized team of like 4 people who deal with this sort of stuff and gave them my contact info. Apparently they are working on a long term fix for it. His new sequoia has it too.

I had the same noise, sounds like a piggy toy!
This is what I did and found....
Unzipped the back on both sides-I think it's the metal bars on both sides on the blower. I use a spray lube very sparingly and the piggy went to bed. I used a long thin flat screw driver to get the zipper back under the sides. Don't try with the zip pulled out you will not be able get it zipped it has to follow the contour and that's it. I found out my lumbar goes up and down too!

My driver seat started squeeking around 1,000 miles. I brought it to the dealer and they submitted a case to Toyota corporate. Toyota sent an engineer to work on my seat. He took the seat down to the frame and determined that the problem was due to the “clips for the seat fan due to excessive clearance”. He lubricated everything that moves, added an additional support to the seat frame, and added some additional foam padding. Just drove it home and so far the seat is completely silent! Sure hope it lasts.

This isn’t exclusive to Tundra or the TRD pro Trim.

My Platinum Tundra does it and I got it at around 800 miles. Going to dealer mañana to figure it out.

my '22 limited is doing the same thing. Had it in the dealer a couple weeks ago, and service writer said "it was the seat foam breaking in".

I got a 23 TRD sport. Noticed seat crunch around 200 miles. Check engine light came on at 400 miles. Dealership said that it's"normal", told me they sat in 3 on the lot and do same thing (whether true or not?) Said the master technician submitted a notice to Toyota, otherwise nothing they can do right now. Frustrating and extremely annoying, to the point of I would've felt it during test drive probably wouldn't have bought it.
Btw mine doesn't have the seat ventilation, just heated.

Yeah it's definitely a problem. I have a friend in corporate that connected me with an engineer who specializes in these types of issues. She is working on it as far as a company wide fix.

Same as recent posts. Went to dealer for the seat, they said I have it in both front seats, and that the master tech would need to open them up to see if it’s a misrouted line or something, etc.

I said nooooope. Let’s wait for Toyota Corporate. I also asked about the upper piece of the window seals on second row, they sort of fold down when the window is closed shut. He said others do it and so they won’t reorder a seal unless it’s redesigned since other trucks on lot are doing it

SO a quick update on my seat. The noise came back around 3100 miles post repair. It came back worse than before. Local dealer did the temp fix again. On an unrelated note, my passenger side mirror cover fell off on Friday. These trucks are not built to last.

Just noticed this yesterday in my Limited. Sounds like the foam creaking. I do have ventilated seats so I assume it has something to do with those parts. pwpblue above states what he did and I bet it is the same for mine. I will have to investigate further.

Interesting... so is that between the foam and other parts of the seat. It only makes it when I push my back against it. Not a constant noise.
