I had planned on doing the suspension install today but got bogged down with some honey-do's and ran out of time. Started installing the SwitchPros but as I was wrestling with getting the connector through the firewall grommet, thunder, lightning, rain. So, the switches are in and I'll finish the rest tomorrow afternoon.

My card got charged by @Roman which I'm guessing means that my Pro Grille will be on the way soon. Plan is to start some of the hood surgery this week for SDHQ's light mount in the scoop. When the grille shows up, I'll be a couple of steps ahead and can just bolt the light in.

Also, going to try and get the suspension on this week. Probably do the fronts one afternoon/evening then the rears the next day. Will need to find someone to do a BMC as I don't have the welding skills or tools to tackle that one.

Finished wiring up the SwitchPros. Now, I just need to add stuff to it. Hood scoop light bar will probably go in this weekend.

Just replaced the two dash lighters with Blue Sea 4.8A USB sockets.

I'll swap out the rear tomorrow.

I snipped off the connectors for the lighter. Took the wires, stripped the ends and soldered them to the connectors on the Blue Sea unit.

I just learned this trick. Most pictures have GPS tag info in them. If someone posts a picture, you can check the details of the jpeg and get the gps coordinates.

The only camera I own that does GPS tagging is my phone. My Canons do not (film cameras definitely don't) and I normally strip all the metadata with the exception of the copyright info. Besides, that's a street view pic that was posted and we moved from there 4 years ago. Someone's doing some sleuthing or knows me from somewhere and I'm not connecting the dots.

Haha, no I am a "private investigator", as well as an Information Security Technician in the banking industry.

Scalpel is used, or was used by the USAF primarily. However I still use scalpel quite a bit compared to the other Automated file carving software out there.

Spent the morning working my way through SDHQ's hood scoop light bar mod. A little nervous at first but once that first cut was made, all was well.

    SIqXpXLQjbRn-wf3a6QAMTx21gKeJfa10JP2pgCd_597e7bae30ac37058e9388e924bc07b806c3e6d3.jpg

    Ojwz0nERhrUCUdG76gJoq0rAyvq1efrLVjIMWC1K_71ee97a5afd14c559849df28431add8a75aae995.jpg

I'm having an issue with the SwitchPros at the moment. Light bar is all wired in but the SP's switches are no longer working. Spoke with SDHQ earlier this afternoon and we tried to troubleshoot over the phone. SP goes into programming mode and the backlight for the key pad comes on but I can't turn anything on. SDHQ is going to speak with SwitchPros on Monday and let me know what else to look for.

After that, I swapped in color matched door handles and mirror caps. More of a vanity thing then anything I suppose but the truck has a much cleaner look to it. Peeling the vinyl between the doors also helped.

If anyone needs a set of black handles and mirror caps, let me know. I'll put them in a box and send them your way.

Can you post output pics of the light bar, when you get it figured out?

Really tempted to get this, but not completely convinced yet since I haven't seen any decent output pics.

Definitely. Output should be good I imagine. It's the driving/wide combo bar.

Yeah, don't doubt it. I'll pay for quality, but that $1k price tag is hard to swallow.

    I appreciate it.

It's from Expedition One. This is their test fit. They've been posting a few teaser pics on their Instagram.

So, I was just playing around with this a bit more. Downloaded the SwitchPros app for my phone, fired up the truck and got it connected. Guess what? The switches work again and the light bar comes on. No issues. Disconnect the app and the switches no longer function. Does anyone know if it's supposed to work that way?

LOOKS LIKE IT HINGES ON BOTH SIDES WICH I THINK IS COOL. I CAN SEE WHAT APPEARS TO BE LIFT TYPE LATCHS ON BOTH SIDES. WILL BE COOL TO SEE MORE ON THIS AS THERE A 1000'S OF TUNDRAS OUT THERE WITH NO PLACE FOR A 35"+ SPARE TIRE

    IMG_1476.jpg IMG_1472.jpg IMG_1494.jpg

Looks like they have a Rino Rack Pioneer platform on top the their topper. I bought one too (for a Jeep JK) and I am still eyeballing how to mount it to my rack.

My ARE was the first one out of the mold for 2nd Gen in this style. Sales guy sold me it not knowing that this new model was for 3rd Gens only. ARE decided to make it for the 2nd Gen's too so I got the first one.

I got the internal structure for the rack. That ladder would be handy for sure. Looks like you can't open the back topper glass with it closed but with mine being set back off of the off the bumper I can access my bed and open the back window.

Keep us posted if they decide to go into production. Im digging it.
