I remember that! Friend of a friend down the street from me owned one before the Atari 2600 came out. Too expensive for me on a paper route salary.

Yeah I was much more of an outdoor kid too. My mom would literally lock us outside til it was dinner time. The time I spent playing video games was when I was stuck inside from rain or having to babysit younger siblings. After my youngest sister got taken to the hospital I didn’t really have to babysit too often. And yes I was watching her. And no it wasn’t my fault her stroller tipped over when we were doing laps around the back yard as I was pulling her on my bmx. I didn’t know she was such a novice stroller rider. Psh….

I went to O'Reillys today to get some leaf spring centering pins and had the 60 year old human cigarette ring me up. Dude made a "deez nuts" joke as he screwed the nut on the centering pin. Felt like I was taken hostage

Please share noticeable differences with the new plugs, from the 190k plugs. Also which plugs you used. Lookin for increase in power and mileage. I'm bout the same mileage and not sure if mine have ever been changed. I know I haven't done it yet.

Since when did Genesis get a Lara Croft game?

Did you mean Sega Saturn? PS1?

I haven’t noticed anything substantial since changing them - It has only been a day so… However I did notice it legit sounds like the truck turns on with 2 less “doon-doon-doon” when turning the key over. We will have to see how my mileage turns out, or if it changes at all which hopefully it does. I used the OEM Toyota sparkplugs as @shifty` recommended I should. If I were you I would definitely get around to changing those plugs out because the gaps on plugs on these trucks should be .031” and I swear those burnt ones I pulled out were at least .071”. Also just a heads up, it seems like “cylinder 6” has a strange thing where that plug is harder to get out than the others. Both my truck and my brother’s landcruiser(with the same 4.7L) had a stubborn ass plug in that location. Luckily I got mine out with a lot of back and forth wrenching, but it took my brother over a year of wrenching and using other techniques to get his out because you definitely don’t want to break one of those puppies. Moral of the story: change your plugs :D

I think I mentioned this before on here, but my parents bought a TI-99 when we were stationed at NAS JAX back at the turn of the 80s. No hard disk, it was too out-of-reach pricewise. My older brother would beat threaten to beat the shit out of me if I didn't use the book that came with it to type a bajillion lines of BASIC out to make a rudimentary slot machine game. He always wanted to use it first, and it was 50/50 (probably worse, not in my favor) whether he'd just hit the power when he was done, erasing everything, or let me play the game I took the time to type out.

What's he using for the front-end/GUI? That's where I've always had issues. Because most of it is done free, it's really hard to find a cohesive front-end with a logical menu system, game support, control support, where it plays intuitively across all platforms. I've got a gaggle of emulators and gigs upon gigs of ROMs for most of them. A buddy of mine here in ATL builds (or used to build) PCBs for tabletop MAME systems. There's a lot of cool stuff you can do ... I just wish someone built a kickass interface to load them. Maybe something has changed in the last few years. After 20+ years of hunting, I finally gave up.

You know adding calcium to the soil helps firm up perpetual mud, right? Don't ask how I know this. Just another one of those "had to use it once..." things.

    https://www.ecslimited.com/drying-soils-chemically-using-lime/

    https://helpmecompost.com/soil/firm-up-muddy-ground/

You may want to read both. Maybe it's a solve for you. Maybe not. Calcium first, then woodchips over could be the solution you're looking for in lieu of slab...

Ah. I thought Hackhi2 was only useful for the the NES Classic mini-console thingy.

There are a bunch for MAME/arcade use, which is what I have the most ROMs for -- https://docs.mamedev.org/usingmame/frontends.html

I'd love to find one that was a little more universal, that made it easy to fire up the correct emulator for whatever games you wanted to play, with the correct flags/arguments, and the controls just "worked". EmuStation was the last really promising thing I saw: https://emulationstation.org/

With R-Pi being pretty capable these days, I'd be shocked if there wasn't something on the market by now.
