3" lift - ICON vs FOX?

I have a 2014 Tundra 4x4 and would like to install a 3" lift. I have narrowed it down to FOX 2.5 Factory Series coilovers up front and 2.0 Performance Series shock in rear. OR ICON V.S. 2.5 Series coilovers up front and 2.0 Aluminum Series in rear. Does anyone have a suggestion on which is better of the two? Thanks,Rudy

I have the same fox setup you are looking at and love it!!!!! Only complaint is the coil over springs are needing repainted but other than that it's a great setup!! However icon does make some very nice shocks as well. Either one will put a smile on your face!!

 

Each has their pros/cons.
From what I've heard, Icons will ride good in 1 particular setting with their digressive valving, pick on or offroad performance, but not both.
Fox has finish quality issues in my experiences, their shock bodies rust.

I would personally go King if I were spending that much money.

Or just settle for something cheaper like the Bilstein 6112's and put the leftover $$ toward another mod or the truck payment.

Also, if you can I would definitely do 2.5's in the rear, 2.0s will heat up/fade and just overall wear quicker and perform poorer than a 2.5 on a truck this size

 

We sell both Fox and Icon, but went with Fox 2.5 Fronts w/Res and 2.0 Rears w/Res for our own 2010. Still great ride and performance after about 4 years, and finish is still good, but So Cal weather isn't harsh. Initially we installed the Bilstein 5100s in the front to level it until the stock tires wore out, but the Fox coil-overs handle MUCH better. Many love the Icons too, and I think we actually sell more Icon than Fox!
