Well just know if and when I say turd gen i stopped meaning 2.5 gen the day the first 3rd gen Tundra rolled off the line.
And in reference to turd gen Tacoma's, since 2016.

That's news to me. But I don't venture out of 1GT forum much. Upon thinking about it I guess it makes sense to split 2nd and 2.5 considering the body panel differences and the fact the 2nd gen as a whole ran for 14 years. I mean 1GT only had 6. So yeah fuck it, split em and call em turds. They're all turds to me anyways

Toyota brought a couple up in 2021 before they were released. I couldn’t make it last year to see if any would run the trails.

 

Someone camped with one last year, but I'm not sure what trails it ran.

Icon was at Jambo last year too. They were afraid to push their rigs. Not sure why. They competed in the events but their shit was weak sauce. Way too cautious for how capable their rigs were. We were not impressed.

 

I don't expect anyone to break something trying to win an event, but at least give us a show. Especially when you got Icon footing the bill. People don't watch NASCAR for the slow cars

 

Probably didn’t want their shocks to leak

 

My FIL just bought a used Colorado ZR2 - first question he asked me - “do your shocks leak?” Had to tell him the Billies are still bone dry after 50k miles of abuse. His rear shocks are both leaking - one so bad it’s dripping on the ground. Truck has 30k miles on it and looks new. Love that GM quality.

2.5 gen - Turd gen (previously known as 3rd gen, however when toyota dropped the bomb that the real 3rds were being released, it was the reaction of the 2.5 society that earned the official 'Turd' title)
