Yup, interesting world we live in, even here in GA. For the longest time here, I couldn't buy a cold brew to pound back on Sunday because of a centuries old book, but the guy reading from the book on Sunday is free to pound as many children as he likes. Message sent, loud and clear: It's ok to abuse kids, but Heaven forbid I abuse alcohol.

I'm glad GA got mostly past the archaic beverage laws, and a decade later, somehow we've managed to avoid turning into Sodom and Gomorrah over here. Proof positive: Miracles never cease, my friend, and people pushing their false self-serving narratives are full of crap.

I love having the freedom to buy a gallon of whiskey from the grocery store at 6am

As it should be! In the ripe old year of 2023, ancient writings should have no bearing on what beverages you buy at the grocery store, or when, or how much.

Yeah, Tennessee seems to be at the forefront of important issues right now.

Ok that's enough before I get the hammer.

I wish we could buy liquor at the grocery store. Liquor store only and they don't open til 10am-9pm Mon-Sat. And we still have dry counties and semi dry counties. We also have ice houses that serve only beer and soda, but let you BYO liquor. We recently started selling beer at 10am on Sundays instead of noon. Most counties sell beer til midnight, but some sell it till 2am on Friday nights and Saturday nights (technically Saturday morning and Sunday morning). Same goes for the bars. We even have the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission police officers.
    All because of some religion.

What a waste of taxpayer dollars. And meanwhile, preventing adoption of sensible weed policies to go with those weird booze policies, you're throwing away a huge tax windfall. Yet the same people responsible for all that waste are handily winning to continue with the status quo. It's absolutely baffling how sheep folks can be scared into rallying against their best interests. (Don't worry brother, GA is doing equally stupid stuff)

On the topic of Sedona though, I found this while looking up stuff to do there, planning for potential trek out next year's T2S: https://www.sedona.net/what-not-to-do

Sorry lady and gents, way too much adulting going on and we wont be able to make it this year. Getting married in June, hopefully closing on a house before that and recently found out we're adding a crotch goblin to our family. Sad that we cant attend but T2S24 is game on!

So if we have to move campsites, are there other trails that would be open over there? Or are we likely just shit out of luck with the trails? How's the urban offroading scene in AZ?

The trails are all spread out over the wider area, some being an hour or so drive to get there. Moving camp sites won't affect that very much.

There will be plenty of trails - just about everything we run is significantly lower elevation than camp.

Interesting. So in these lower elevation areas, is it less cold?

Typically, yes. But it's also daytime. Even camp is *usually* comfortable in the daytime.

I agree, that was confusing, so I edited it. Just want proper to know they can choose from all those links showing up at the bottom of this thread. Even if we don't use every function.

I don’t think anyone is running CB. Everyone I know is using operating in UHF, VHF, GMRS frequencies. Some over achievers have a HAM license.

I still don't know the difference between GMRS and UHF and VHF. Seems like every GMRS radio I see does UHF and VHF so it's all the same to me
