You missed the pronoun “her”. Should have been “their”.

    What’s a Jambo, btw?

Depends on how comfortable I may or may not become around people. I could be a total bore if I'm tired, shy or anxious. Or I could be a party animal and talk your ear off. Never know til I get there. I'm always a little nervous about meeting new people. :burp:

I know better than to hit a chick and pull a gun. He was only my spirit animal when he was stuck in the gully, mad at everyone trying to help.

Is RTTG a inside joke, I bet it’s good, we have one about day hikers “fucking day hikers”
I like to consider my self an outdoors enthusiast, and I’ve just had so many weird encounters with day hikers, not to mention the trail trash they leave behind.
We hiked like 3 miles to our favorite pools to “watch the scenery” plenty of space for anyone to join and still be half a mile away from one another, these day hikers decided to come and set up a wine lunch like 20 yards from us while the fog rolls in. Like what is wrong with you, I came here to be as far away from people as I can get. And then day hikers show up!!
Hahahah we’ve also set up tents tactically so people couldn’t walk thru, this FDH BSed with us for a while and was like oh ok I’ll just walk thru here, trips over my buddies tent, oh sorry didn’t see the tent here…….
    FDH!!!!!!

Nope. My point was that he could have written it as I edited, and every reader would know the driver was female-- just not that he concluded that is why she f'ed up her truck. I've seen a lot more guys trash their trucks than gals... and sometimes it's testosterone-related ... but I recognize it's most likely because a lot more guys than gals hit the trails with me.

As for the pronoun thing, I love pronouns and hate the new 'they/their' rules, <sigh> but I won't be an asshole; if I meet someone that wants to be addressed a certain way, I'll do my very best to get it right. And, my irritation has nothing to do with changing social mores and everything to do with love of the English language. I'm devastated by how quickly it's changing.

Part of your front “package” is aluminum right? Again, I know you don’t specifically aim for rocks, tires are for rocks not skid plates……
I’m also welding(not me, the royal me) gussets on the bend of the horizontal for strenth.

I definitely will do all I can to put you at ease and make you feel welcome and comfortable. It means the world to me, you guys making this trip. And I cry that a couple of my favourites can't make it this year-- because there's an opportunity in this year's meet that may never come again. I'm already cherishing it, and it hasn't even happened yet!

I find it’s better to stick with they/their simply because sometimes you just don’t know the sex or gender identity of a person by the way they look and it’s better not to 2nd guess it.

Yeah if this goes well, it could become a tradition for me. I still think we need to check out Palo Duro Canyon outside Amarillo. We could definitely get more 1GT east coasties involved with that more central location

That’s the bumper kit, again they make you cut off the frame horn mounts? And then weld in a cross member and these caps across the front and side, tie it all in, those frame horns that most bumpers mount to is weak AF, a grinder got them off in under 2 mins both sides……..

First RTTG was at jambo, they had a little racetrack setup, and a dude in a real nice full overland LC with a RTT went full send, and rolled his truck. Easily $50k on its side & about 30 mins of the event 'crew' fiddlefucking around to get it off the track. Everyone went limp wristed after that... really killed the mood.

Our trail convoy at hidden falls caught up to RTTG after he'd missed the trail in his ?gf's mom's? LC and sank it to the framerails, after dark. Dude was hammered, so one of our guys winched him back, and the dude immediately followed his own tracks back to the mud. And was arguing with the people trying to direct him, and he was livid because of the snickering from the sidelines. Well, we get him pointed in the right direction, and he climbs out after being told multiple times to 'send it'. When he gets to a 'camp spot' runs the RTT into a beefy low hanging branch, smacks his chick, and pulls a gun on the folks that show up to see what the commotion was about. At some point he had broken the drivers window mechanism, and the cops show up and take him in, the next morni g the chick drove the LC out with a trashbag over the window, TO BAIL HIM OUT. Eff. Lol.

i might have missed some details, i was drinking like a passenger all day. But it was the most amusing shit show i'd ever been a part of. Since then, we are leary of RTTG's

The only thing I can think of that you forgot to mention he didn't air down before hitting the trails. The guys recovering RTT guys LC aired it down for him before he sent it again

Also worth mentioning this was all at night and in the mud. I got to follow RTT guy and the FJC that recovered him after RTT guy rutted everything up too. I put a lot of pressure on myself not to embarrass myself and my 1GT Infront of all the group. I put it on L and 4Lo and locked the rear diff and mostly feathered the gas with a few little romps on the pedal. To my amazement the Tundra mastered it's way out of the trail with the grace of a ballerina. It was like drifting in slow motion. I was terrified. Part of me wants to do it again sober.
