I put em craigspage, fakebook, and SHOforum. Shipping all of them would be a pain. Then listing them all, dealing with strangers, questions. Ugh. I'll just take the $1500 I can get from scrapping them.

The best part is they are 13/ea. have to remove clips and press them in/out, but not a big deal.

How serious of a press? Is this something you can fudge with a stout C-clamp with a breaker bar?

It’s really brutal when you are chasing every other thing on the truck. Stupid part is once you know, checking them takes 5 min.

I’m pretty sure a socket and a hammer will do. I did bang on it and it was tight. I didn’t go further because I didn’t have the new ones yet. But I guarantee a vise with the right cups/ sockets, or a baby press will do. I’ll confirm tomorrow. I have a baby press

In that case, throw all three up on fleaBay. List for 50% more than you'd get for scrap to cover fees etc., "buy it now" and "as-is/no returns". Non-refundable deposit of $X required within 24 hours of auction close, and buyer must pickup within 21 days.

There's someone out there who wants these for a project. They just need to know you're serious about selling them and you'll get at least $1.5k - $2.0k selling them to a Pull-a-Part style yard, so for the extra hassle of selling to a collector, you'll take $2.5k

Granted, fleaBay is gonna fleece you for about 10-12% of the sale ... whether you sell them there or not.

Use the 'ol bearings-in-the-freezer trick before hand. They may slide right in.

As long as I can still see, I'm still pooping normal, and the 'hardware' still works, you're not really gonna hear me complain too much. I can live without hearing good (what?). Like, literally, because I think we're all going deaf. And this damn ringing in my ears all the time. It never goes away.

Yeah, I used to poke fun at one of my closest friends, maybe a decade ago? He's got 7-8 years on me. A couple years after I started making fun, guess what? Hit me too.

I'm sure it didn't help I was heavy into car audio, a total basshead, hit all the IASCA comps and bass-offs, and was constantly at concerts and clubs. And shooting with the boys at least every other weekend w/o ear protection didn't help. I just never thought it'd happen to me, as stupid as that sounds with clear hindsight.

I'm smart enough to throw cans on (now). Too little too late.

I got it myself from one of my ears not popping during decent on a plane ride from work. Been suffering ever since. I mostly listen to music while I work to mask it out. Same with sleeping.

Man, that’s really too bad. I love SHOs, and I looked into getting one before I got my current car. They’re cool.

If only others felt the same way…
