To Overland or Not to Overland

  1. I would like to join an Overland Detachment.

  2. I would like to enjoy trail leader, lead day trip(s) and return back to base camp to sleep.

  3. I would like to explore the trails by me, myself and I.

Those are nice too, I've just always liked blue. My wife used to drive red cars (which I hate) until she saw the MGM on her current ride (2013 Venza). Now she's into that color, which I agree is a solid color. Funny thing is that my 1st Gen Tundra that we had in the family for 20 years, and was one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, was red.

yup that is one method, I just duplexed it for now and have dedicated VHF (business band/MURS and up) and UHF (GMRS/FRS bands w/current antenna) tuned antennas. Swap out the antennas and I can be in a whole different frequency range, 2m wavelength on the driver's side and 70cm wavelength on the passenger side. I'd be G2G...

It does open the possibility for the radio to operate as a cross-band repeater. Could be useful to for a handheld/other low powered radios to Tx/Rx to my radio on UHF channel, I could then have the mobile radio Tx/Rx on VHF thereby extending range of a low powered HT radio or other thangs of that nature ;)

I just had two RTIC’s in my cart because I need new coolers. Now I need to check these out… do they have any PNW distributors?
