That's crazy. I use wheelers off road superbumps. No issues for years now

 

I guess I should figure out what size and weld some cans in there for hydraulic bumps. I may have put my limit strap clevices in the way, but that can be changed.

@KevinK @Cruzer how does this and the trail closures affect the overlanding group

 

I think the smaller footprint of the detachments will have a smaller impact. I believe we will be a lot more aware of our surroundings to not cause any trail damage. I for one don't want to go through mud. I've got a shitload still on my truck from Sand Hollow.

 

I think the bigger issue is if the roads are open. If gates aren't open and roads are listed as closed, being on on them is a great way to give everyone in the group a ticket.

Guess I am more concerned with closed trails...Yeah agree about mud. I still have mud fro the last T2S....lol

That's in the Verde Valley. No snow down there anymore. I road MTB in Sedona last weekend and didn't encounter hardly any mud.

...but it seems like this event, despite the name, is also geared towards enjoying the Ponderosa Pine Forest around Flagstaff.

 

I'd be curious to know if the Cinders OHV area is impacted by closures or not?

The Pipeline fire closure is supposed to expire on 4/15. I wonder if those roads will be open again.

They list Cinder Hills as Open, but the road to get back there is closed. That'll need some clarification.

I doubt it. They'll probably roll the fire closures into the seasonal closure orders and just not open those roads.

Then again, the area around Doney Park is all volcanic cinders, so it dries exceptionally well.
