Can anyone tell me if the front facing camera needs to be adjusted after a grille swap (limited to a TRD PRO grille)? I know a relocation bracket is necessary, and I've looked for an answer but have not been able to find any information regarding the camera accuracy after the swap. Thanks for the help...

thank you, that's unfortunate especially since I have the extended warranty. the dealership I've had dealings with have been a little sleezy so I have an idea of what they will say..

My dealer said they were not servicing Tacomas that had gone with a knockoff grille and now had parking sensor/cruise control issues. They would only cover the issue if they used a toyota made grille. That sounds fair to me and would totally accept that if I went chinesium and not OEM.

Does this actually work? Tried it with power on, not running and couldn't get it to do anything

On/running, screen off via the display option and just swipe right x5 and swipe left x5?

I can get behind this for sure. I think that is definitely reasonable. My plan was to install OEM PRO grille anyways

Question regarding the swap to a PRO grill. I’m looking to have my Limited grill swap to a Heritage PRO. A body shop I’m working with mentioned possibly the safety sensor if connected to grill would have to be recalibrated which is pricey. Can anyone confirm where the sensor is located?

It’s the radar at the bottom of the grill. Plenty of us have done the swap with 0 issues and did not recalibrate. You can recalibrate to the new camera position yourself.

I have a limited off road and change my grill to the pro grill. I did not have to do anything being talked about in regards to recalibrating front camera or the radar. It was a 2 hour swap with no problems. I’m lifted 2.75” in the front and had Toyota do the alignment, there has never been an issues from them or with the truck.

I installed a TRD pro grill and absolutely no adjustment was needed. Plug and play using the correct bracket
