Probably like the 4WD, it needs to be cycled at least once a month

It definitely needs to be used, but the strange thing is I can't get it to even run through a re-initialization as per my manual....

I’m thinking this is the case…going to add the sunroof to my 4wd cycle every few months.

Hmm, now that I think about it…needs to happen soon.

Gotcha...I'm there now. Have a good one!

Think I'll hit the one dirt parking lot within 50 miles tomorrow to run some circles.

No, this is a perfect example of d*ck head engineering. Not a single sunroof problem in my 2005 Volvo. I've had 3 more of them from the similar age, not a single problem. Sold 2016 Volvo last year to get that Sequoia, it had a moon roof, which we never used. When checked by the buyer, it was operating as smooth as when it was new.

It shouldn't happen in the beginning of 2023 on a 2022 vehicle. Now they have to remove the headliner and who knows what they break and stain along the way :(

Not a single problem w/the sunroof (other than having to clean out the drain channels) on my '08 since it was new (and now over 260k miles); that sunroof was opened and closed at least a few times a day for more than a decade. My '21; we'll see how it goes.

Anyhow, I would suggest to take pics of the overhead console area, the headliner and how everything come together; that way when it does go in for service, if something comes back looking like crap they can't tell you it came in that way prior to the repair...

It really sucks that we have to be somewhat defensive about things, but we did not create this environment. For me, my intention on any future warranty or dealer repairs/service is to be respectful and trusting but to verify shit was done right when it gets back to me, and if they cause additional damage or don't do the work right they'll be doing it again.

Will definitely take pictures before and after.

I prefer to DIY any day, but they just won't hand me a new $1300+ warranty part. Post warranty - heck, I'd take it apart and improve the design. TSB says it affects only 18-20 model years. Mine is 22. Apparently their fix was not enough.

Honestly I wonder how of much of this is just really poor attention to detail during the assembly process... I know a lot of it is done w/robotics, but QC seems to be lacking; it's really too bad, but still better than the other options out there!

Gave mine a full exercise yesterday on the way home and it was running just as smooth as the first day I drove it.

Anyone in the market for a hot tub? I’ll make you a killer deal on one. We acquired one with our recent home purchase and don’t use it much. I’d rather just get rid of it.

As far as I can tell no. We have used it a few times, just not big hot tub people. Not my idea of relaxing. It’s a 2019 model and seems to be a pretty spendy one from the research I have done.
