Well if you like Deafheaven I'm sure you'd like them too since they're also a Deathwish band! Saw them in LA few years ago, they opened up for Iron Reagan. Interesting dynamic change but it was fun.

I see. Sorry but I had no clue about Mongolia. Beer on the other hand, I know quite a bit about.

Did you say Amarillo doesn't have HEB? If the panhandle doesn't have HEB, then I should probably buy my T2S beer locally for I leave for Amarillo

You could winch it up to the ceiling by a collar around the frame just below the seat post, then two lines to each wheel to pull the wheels up. So you'd get the frame up close, then pull it sideways / parallel to the ceiling by the wheels. I'm thinking above the garage doors.
I'm not sure if it's too long or not, but you could just pull it to the ceiling between the garage door tracks. So I'd block your upper storage, kinda like a door in front of that stuff, but you don't access that stuff too often, so no big deal.

Ordered a battery tester the other day, only 20 bucks. You can test the CCA, as well as the alternator and a ton of other stuff. Always just used a multimeter to test them before. Pretty sure this thing was made in Japan…… just kidding.

Hoist may be the best option. It’s heavy enough that lifting it over head is a little dicey anyway. I had one of the hoists long ago for a 3rd floor flat which worked ok but wasn’t awesome.

There is enough space to fit it between storage and the track guides.

once we get to new doors I’ll redo the tracks to follow the ceiling to get them out of the way. And add some storage on the side shelves.

You can get the bicycle hoist from Harbor Freight for like $15. Pulley system makes lifting easy, and 2 double hooks for pick-up points. They work well, but never tried to lift a bike laying flat. Maybe hook to the front tire and to the rear seatpost, to lift laying flat with the bars fully turned?

Yup, that's basically what I recommended too in PM. Here's the one that holds my IGH cruiser in the garage.

Local from Ode to Mercy. This beer, specifically. Tad too sweet for me, I hear "coffee", I expect some roasty/nibby/bitterness in there. https://wildheavenbeer.com/avondale-estates-avondale-wild-heaven-beer-beer12

I'll start with an 8' 2x3 from HD (gotta get some bins anyway and all my dimensional lumber is shorter than 8', I need 6' for the wheelbase and nice to have some overlap to hit studs/joists.

I don't love the seat hook part of the basic hoist, it doesn't really do it for me, and on the tandem it's a chick bike seat on back which is all goofy anyway. Definitely could be swapped for something which clamps the post via loop though, just the whole thing is kinda janky in my opinion. This specific tandem is a kid friendly one so the rear seat is right on top of the rear wheel (has a telescoping seatpost). But I think a hoist could be the way to make use of the little bit of space I do have and get this bike safely out of the way, as much as I dislike hoist designs. I wonder if that fancy one would be less lame.

There's no reason you can't use the double hook I've got on the seat to grab the rear wheel instead. Honestly. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work, but I've never honestly tried it.

Hahahaha I didn’t even think of it that way, I’m serious about digging devices!
I had to make a sleeve to be Buried for a flag pole, I welded up a nice octopus on it. We didn’t use our PHD, but we had to buy a “flat bar” or digging bar to get down where we needed to. We then set a irrigation box over it to cover when not in use. It turned out pretty sweet.
We have this camp that comes every year and they solute a flag every morning? Hahahah so we have to provide this whimpy pole to raise their flag, it’s always a ordeal every year, not just with the flag pole.
