I hope so, but wouldn’t count it. Bought mine in December, and was told my 2nd fob would be available by March at the latest. Guess what?

That's a fact! I went Ford shopping last month and the amount of equipment removed with incredibly small credits is absurd. I ordered one and a week after I ordered I read the bed camera had been removed since my order. I ended up saying - no thanks.

Toyota just don’t build them until all parts are secured. But then again it leads to this huge short supply of trucks. Before I bought my 23 platinum, I literally did not find one in the Dallas area to test drive or look at.

Manufacturing anything incomplete and field installing it is a very expensive overall strategy. It does temporarily satisfy the customer, but puts a burden on the dealers and customers, plus the management of keeping track of what was short is a headache.

Considering how engrained Toyota is with Lean, JIT and Kaizen, I could see them not wavering from their ideals.

A good read is The Toyota Production System
