Lol please do realize it is the best interest of phone mfg to get ppl to buy a few hundred to 1k or even free top of the line phones annually.

Again you keep painting this that Ford did not do any r&d and just grabbed random specs for marketing and said hey it's gonna work, with 0 testing to back anything up.

Wonder why cell phones don't use nimh anymore, care to see the bigger picture or just rant that Ford can't develop a inverter and it kills the system if you use it

Tim just did a video on his experience with selling his. TL;DW: he couldn't sell it privately, ended up selling to a dealer for less than he wanted. Guess it had some scratches but he was pretty disappointed and surprised it didn't hold value like past Toyotas.

I feel like this is true of any truck at the moment. Watching dudes on the 3.0 Duramax group trade trucks like Pokemon cards every year is hilarious.

I hadnt seen this article before but I find it odd that its predicted resale. Like how the hell they know what a Maverick resale will be in 5 years when the Maverick just came out and has been production constrained and people are having to fist fight over them. Of course the used market on them probably looks pretty promising.

Also, are we basing this on MSRP or actual sale price. Does my 2014 F150 that had an MSRP of $57k but I purchased for around $42k mean that it was already devalued 27% the instant I signed the papers.

You’ll be happy to know that the JBL in my 23 sucks moderately less than the one in my 21 did.

Yeah it’s not great by any means, just better than before. It was an absolute joke in the 21.

I put the Tech12volts system in my 21 and was very happy with it. Waiting for them to put a package together for the Gen 3s.

Talking yesterday with a friend, he is 3 years into 5 year finance loan on a F150. He pays $600 month. Last 15 or so years he has been a flipper of vehicles every 2 to 3 years, and he would get rid of the vehicle before the loan was up. He was quoted just this week $1200 month for what he has now in a 2023 model. He is staying put, keeping what he has, so his F150 will not be going to a dealer used lot. Imagine there are others in this boat.

Is it an oxymoron to discuss good truck stereo, that is in a truck with a (Borla, TRD, Dirty Deeds, etc...) Exhaust ? 8^0

During the winter, as a hobby last XX? years, I like to set up music rooms for audiophiles in their house. Toyota's JBL Speakers and Panasonic brand (2023 Head Unit) are considered mid range/ mid grade in the audiophile world.

The 2023 Tundra with its quieter Cab due to no V8, fake engine noise turned off, should help to "hear" the music more. But that will also make any audio deficiencies more audible.... if.... the "sound" you hear takes priority over the "music" itself.

Extremely stupid. Except for the last couple years, 15-20% off msrp of a domestic full size was normal.

Which is why I cringed at the folks buying f150a for msrp and some for markup. Reality check incoming

Don't forget rolling negative equity from the trade-in into the new loan.

My F-150 is still worth $5-8K more than I paid after a year and 10,000 miles. But Granger.

Yeah you got I believe 3-4% UNDER invoice. My local was $7k over msrp on tremors and couldn’t keep them on the lot

I can buy a Tremor anytime I want at Canadian MSRP. The thing is it will be an EV Tremor or powered by Hydrogen or something else by the time I get it.

Ah the ole rolling negative equity ploy. Works well when prices are rising ......

Did you know in Canada (eh) - right now - alot of the people that took on Variable Rate Mortgages during the Pandemic when the mortgage rates were 1.4% are now running on rolling negative equity. As long as their lender thinks they have enough equity remaining anyway.
So with mortgage rates now 5% a lot of people's variable rate mortgage payments, are now not even covering the Banks interest anymore. Investors thought there would be a deluge of homes listed for sale (Power of Sale/Foreclosures). It hasn't happened...yet.

The Lenders - Canadian Schedule A banks do not want to see their collateral (the house) fall in value - if a flood of houses hit the market - so they have, allowed people to "TAG" the extra interest not being paid every month, onto the principal owing, so the principal increases every month. They have also bumped amortizations from 25-30 years to 40 and 50 years - till the term ends. Whatever they have to do to keep all these people from having to sell the house.

But when the mortgage term ends, people will be forced to re-qualify at new rates and renew at 25 year amortizations again. That's when you will see houses hit the market if current conditions remain.
True Canadian Bank Cartel behavior. Cha Ching Cha Ching for the banks.

I'm sure it will all work out great in the end though.

Why are variable rate mortgages a thing anymore? Didnt we learn about this not that long ago?

Here I am sitting at 2.625% after doing a cash out refi on $200k and can put that in something as silly as a money market account in any bank and MAKE money. 3.4% right now.

I'm so glad we went fixed when we bought in 2019 despite the broker pushing variable. We need to renew our mortgage in 2024, I'm not looking forward to that. Fortunately, we bought within our means and owe less than $300K. I've read it's people with $500K+ mortgages who maxed out what they qualified for who are really going to struggle in the years to come.

And Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) is now the biggest banking short in the world ahead of Switzerland and Silicon Valley.
Does somebody know something ? 8^0

Hey I was a no debt kind of guy to but when fixed mortages were 1.6%
I went in and now banks are paying 5% to me on GICs for that money as I wait a possible fall out.
Young people thought the 1.4% variable would last forever. They weren't around in the late 80's early 90's.
    High double digit mortage rates.

What do you mean by it will all work out ?
Canada never had the housing crash in 2008 like the US. Prices have been on a continual upward movement. Because of this a lot of our wealth is tied to housing here much more so than in the US relatively speaking.
The $200k you refer to in the GTA Greater Toronto Area is what you put down for a deposit only on an average home.
Average GTA home is $1.2 million. 20% down is needed to not have to pay mortgage insurance. So assuming they put down $200k they owe $1 million.
That's costs $6000 month in mortgage plus taxes, utilities repairs blah blah blah.
You can rent that same house for $3500 month. That's the housing can being kicked down the road that people are not grasping.
The current situation is like a Ponzi Scheme for new buyers IM0, if it wasn't for the million immigrants stoking housing demand every year here.
