No worries! I grew up exploring western Canada, as that's how my family holidayed. I've never been to Disneyland but I've canoed the Bowron Lakes and Broken Islands, summited a handful of mountains and camped in dozens of places around BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. I still love that kind of stuff.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away. I'll do my best to give you the good info. :D

    That's awesome.

I was born in Holberg BC (I think my folks were stationed in San Joseph) and we were the only people in the hospital when I was born, population 35 now! We went spent out holidays in Winfiled BC, swimming in lakes, jumping off docks, snowmobiling on the lakes in the mountains).

This article is about my Grandparents and "Don" is my dad.
    https://www.lakecountrymuseum.com/history/redecopproad-2/

I haven't been back in years, since married, but we still venture out to Canmore/Calgary area the odd Spring Break.

Now we camp and explore Western Ontario, canoeing, camping, hiking, fishing and enjoying the summer holidays in a small camper and sometimes a tent.

Disneyland has nothing on spending time outdoors in the fresh air and clean waters.

My local shop is quoting me tomorrow on installation of Eibach Stage 2 Front Coilovers and rear struts.

They are fully assembled, preloaded to height etc. I'm supplying parts.

Any guesses as to what I'll be looking at in Canada?

I'm thinking $500 installed and alignment

So my brother apparently gets Crooked Creek doughnuts whenever he goes up to GP but the only time he brought some for the rest of the family, he got day olds (and I wasn't able to make it out).

$810 all in, with alignment (and possibly taxes) for Full Suspension installation.

A bit more than I was hoping, but they can do it and are down the street from me. My go-to garage for decades.

Sounds pretty fair to me, plus you have a relationship with the shop which is worth a few buck in my book.

YUP, I was fine with that, especially with the shop I trust, it may be taxes al in. It's getting done Monday.

When I was looking at suspension a few years ago, a different shop, it was going to be around $500-600+alignment. With rising prices, I thought it was fair.

In the end, I'm finally get the front levelled and upgraded on all 4 corners.

When I called the shop I wanted to use and told him it was a Tundra, he said "
oh boy, it is about 4-5 months for OEM Tundra Parts right now". They can do aftermarket and get quicker, per the insurance, but they always try to source OEM if possible, which is what I prefer also.

No clue if they are delaying on purpose for some reason, I don't know why they would as they are getting paid top dollar thru insurance.

Truck is drivable, but I want to put the Nfab M-RDS bumper, lightbar and fog lights on at the same time, in case they find extra damage behind the Grille/OEM bumper area that was damaged.

I call them every once in a while, just to make sure they don't completely forget about me.

We usually hit Oriental Wok on the east side because it's close. Golden Star is decent too. Don's Dining is supposed to be good but I've never tried it.

Stay away from Panda Garden and Eastside Kitchen. I haven't heard good things about Soleiki either.

Truck dropped off for tomorrow's long awaited suspension upgrade. Before and after pics to follow.

I'll have to clean up the stock suspension, 36k kms and see if I have any luck selling on Kijiji. I've had very good luck with OEM nerf bars, tires etc. I also have the stock spare tire and front rear sway bar to list. Time for a spring cleaning, before my side driveway turns into a junk yard.

+7 here in MB today and double digits the rust of the week. I can finally see grass in the front and rear yards.

Sadly, no. That is insurance work and I don't want to voluntarily do anything to the front end before shop opens it up.

    It better be soon though.

    Monday! Woohoo.

As far as I can tell, there is no paint or body work needed. Rip off bumper and end caps, slap the new one on, hook up the DD fogs and send me on my way.

I'll ask for all parts that are not covered by insurance, to be returned to me, as well as the black BumperShellz from the damaged side.

I have an aftermarket bulge to match the OEM grille they ordered. If the shop covers the bulge, I'll have them order an OEM one and return my aftermarket one (local parts supplier).

The repair shop has not seen the truck yet to assess the damage, I did photo estimate with our provincial insurance.

Here it is with the Eibach Stage 2R, set at whatever Eibach sends them with (Level).

Finally getting some stuff done. Once we get it back, my son and I will install the RC LED lightbar in the bumper.
