This came in today. Not sure when it's going on but will probably knock out the timing belt, valve cover gaskets and intake upgrade all at once.

Love to hear some real world feedback on seat of the pants performance and MPG’s as claimed.

Very nice! We were thinking of doing this if we keep ours. I'm curious on your feedback as well.

I will certainly update the community with my impressions once it's done. My gas mileage can't get much worse. I'm averaging between 12 and 13 mpg most every tank driving around town and a lot of idling. I'm hopeful it improves. These are probably the original injectors, unlikely to have ever been cleaned with 290K miles on the clock so also room for improvement with the fresh DD 12 holers in there.

I got everything you see in the pic for $520 so I'm pretty stoked on the deal.

Thanks @Mr.bee, it was an early welding project when i was just learning how to weld. So built that stand for the sander and a vice on the other side.

Edit: Oh the belt sander, lol. I was thinking the grinder for some reason. Yea that belt sander is cool, bought from a coworker who moved away for 40 bucks

It looks like you could gain a bunch of space if you doubled up on some shelves on the cube wall

@FrenchToasty : you mean like add a second shelf within the cubbies to make 2 shelves?

If so, that is a great idea! I will probably have to do that now. Well tomorrow actually, haha

Exactly, it looks like most of them only occupy less than half the area, so much more room for activities! And a lot of you stuff looks like it’s in little bins, so it would work perfect, in my mind hahah

Do some test runs, but I see……. vision being a issue if they are high or low, so I’m thinking middle chest height or somewhere above or below depending; for placement of double shelf’s

Man, talk about luxury of space. I'd love that much room. I'd also love the drill press and band saw and belt sander too

What's that knobby thing at the under the (Hobart?) in the weld cart btw?

The main reason is because we know it's best to not go down that road, even with being baited by comments such as "rename it after someone picked by the DEI office"

EBC slotted rotors and Orangestuff pads in the rear. Old caliper is totally fawked and won't really push in. Notice how the old rotor is missing the slots and has a layer of brake dust inside it.truck (5).jpg

Cerakote headlight kit, we will see how it ultimately turns out, but so far a worthy investment.

Yea it is a nice space that ive slowly made for myself. It used to be insanely cluttered with boxes and stuff i didnt need. It also wasnt as organized which made it much less usable. But now its looking like a little shop.

yea it is a hobart, and directly underneath it is some welding accessories and on the bottom is my original forney welder i learned on.

What brake calipers are those? Im looking on the EBC website and cant quite figure out which ones you got. Also, my calipers seem to have completely cracked and split rubber seals around the pistons on my powerstop brakes i bought a few years ago.

Are the rubber seals easy to replace or should i just buy new calipers? @des2mtn got me curious about these new calipers. Have you had them before? Any one else have input on these or recommendations for something else. Or should i buy powerstop again? Kinda surprised the rubber seals gave out after only a couple years. Maybe thats normal though? I never paid attention to this stuff before i got the FGT.

After buying this truck about 5 years ago, I made a point to learn how to wrench on my own vehicle and its really fun keeping this thing running and do most of the work myself!

I did a similar job on my headlights a couple years ago when i bought the truck as the headlights were terrible. Basically just clearcoat with fine sanding and they came out incredible! Now about 2 or 3 years later they look terrible again. Might be time for new headlights
