Premium audio system with 14" screen... I was on the wrong screen and thought I was pressing an audio button but actually pressed the log out button. I was able to log back on with my profile by entering my PIN, but now CarPlay is gone. I went to the devices screen and it shows my iPhone is disconnected, I click connect, and nothing. How do I get that back? Sure wish the logout process asked if you really wanted to do that. And why does your profile not automatically bring the assigned phone back?

Can you force start CP on your iPhone?

Sometimes this happens on my Android phone, I can open AA from the phone and then the system sees it and AA comes back up on the infotainment

Press the media system's power button for 3 seconds and the head unit will reboot. That usually fixes most carplay related issues.

Well, this morning it just started working again. I need to remember the head unit restart although this issue persisted for at least 3 engine restarts yesterday, each of which would have rebooted the head unit. And also maybe try a force restart of CP.

The other strange CarPlay thing I have seen recently is that Google Maps will start up with a blank map and no functionality. I have to open that app on the phone and it then instantly starts working on the truck. Not every time I get in and go but maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the times. Odd...

Depends on the time between restarts. The head unit is still active for several minutes after the truck is turned off. If you turned the truck off and then back on again immediately, the head unit doesnt power cycle. Usually you have to wait a couple hours for a full power cycle

The google maps thing happens to me too. Its something in carplay and not the truck bc it happens with Carplay in my Cayman too.
