TRD dual exhaust

Agreed, and I am this >--< close to pulling the trigger....but I just have to wait and see what Borla can do with exhaust for these trucks. I know it will be 2x (or 3x) the cost, but they usually work magic (for those who like their tone).

 

It will be interesting to see what other mfg's do but for the sound and price of the TRD system, you can't beat it.

Interesting note - yeah most are focused on cat back systems. I'll probably still upgrade the muffler from dirty deeds. Agreed thought it's a nice low cost upgrade.

 

I ordered a couple of weeks ago from Lewis Toyota and just received this message. Bummer!

"We have previously reached out to you about the status of your order. Part #PT226-34220-02 is on national backorder with no ETA on when we may get one."

 

I received same msg back before I got mine. Stay on list won’t take long - couple months maybe

 

I received a similar what appeared to be automated message. Two days later I received another message stating my items were ready for pick up. I guess I got lucky.

Sorry man, yea they reached out to me right after and said it was back ordered, but then the next day or so they fulfilled part and then shipped. Just got lucky I guess. Hopefully they ship out soon!

Added my exhaust. Cold TX morning start! Tone doesn’t add much, but it does sound damn good in a parking garage!

I called my dealer to have the part ordered today and they said it won’t fit my truck. 23 TRD OR 1794 hybrid 6.5 bed. I know we have had this discussion already, but is there any chance you can confirm the part will fit?

Thanks for all the info. What is the part number for the chrome tip dual exhaust? I thought I read its PT226-34220-02 for black tips. I have a 23 Tundra 1794 with the TRD package and a bed step. Sounds like I might be able to work around the bed step with a modification?

 

My dealer said it was available next day

 

WTF, I need to call them. I ordered the exhaust and some small parts(Oil Filter, drain gaskets) on 2/12 still waiting. See a bunch of people on here ordered after me and received theirs already.

The said national back order and no current date. He told me he only had three orders for the exhaust and none has shipped?

 

Ordered with a delivery date of tomorrow at my dealership. They are adamant that it won’t fit but we will have to prove them wrong.

 

I’d love to know how you did that. Mine will not come out from under the truck.

 

So I learned that if you have the suspension loaded up in the rear it makes the clearance window smaller. If you hack the truck up from the driver side frame just under the rear of the cab you can get the exhaust in and out no problem

 

I'm sure I just got lucky, but not calling them and just placing the order, worked out lol

 

I just got a new 2023 1794 with the TRD Off-Road package, and I just added the manual bed step. Has it been confirmed there's enough clearance for the TRD dual exhaust tips and the bed step? Thanks!

 

Rumor has it the hanger can be bent to make it clear. I can’t confirm tho.

 

As long as it's the manual step you should be fine. The issues were with the power bed step of I'm not mistaken

 

Seconding this question. Would like the trd exhaust tips but want to make sure it clears that step.

 

What is everyone doing with the old exhaust? Mines just sitting in the box in the truck bed...I’m just looking to recycle or donate it.
