Wanted to see if someone could help me with this statement from Toyota about the new 3" TRD Pro New Lift kit. It says it is the TRD Pro lift kit, but in the comments, is says "The kit is not compatible with the TRD Pro". Not sure I understand this statement, as it seems to contradict itself. So it is the TRD pro lift kit but can't be used on the TRD Pro? To confirm I am talking about the Toyota Part # PTCCY-34000

I am looking at Purchasing the 2023 Toyota Tundra i-FORCE MAX TRD Pro 4WD( Hybrid)
I just need to know if this lift kit will work on this New Tundra, and if buying the lift kit from Toyota, I assume they will usually put it on or contract someone to do it, as it states will not void the warranty? I know the truck already comes I think with a 2" lift, but want it too go a litter higher with this lift kit as I assume this is what it would do?

Any help or feedback is appreciated and Thank You

Not sure where you’re seeing it referred to as the TRD “Pro” lift kit
The toyota parts site references it as the TRD 3” Suspension Lift Kit

TRD is simply “Toyota Racing Development” - a series of officially sanctioned/developed components for different makes of Toyota vehicles. Is also used in several different trim descriptions because those trims include TRD parts - TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and TRD Pro all being examples.

The TRD Pro trim already comes with a unique suspension that is exclusive to that trim that has lift/level as part of it (as well as other improvements). That is why the kit is listed as not compatible - this kit is meant to be used to replace the suspension on other non-pro trims to get them closer to the “Pro” height but without the other improvements of the full Pro suspension.

in theory, you could buy a TRD Pro and replace the suspension it comes with with this kit, but I can’t understand why you’d want to. It would be like buying a platinum and then swapping in fabric seats.

Ok, I may have been reading it wrong. So in the TRD Pro Hybrid I Force, 2023, yes I see it does come with some lift to it already, but seem to still sit a little lower, but the tires seem to be too small P285/65R18, so seems like there is a lot of room in there. Is the answer to get larger tires, or is there a lift that you can get for this truck that will not void the warranty?

    I really appreciate everyones feedback.

This is the truck attached I am looking at, and as you can see, it sits kind of low, with smaller tires and what looks to be a lot of room in the wheel well. I want to raid it just a few inches and or get bigger tires to maybe lift it and then close up some of all that free space. Interested in your feedback

I think it’s a pretty good deal for a 3inch suspension lift. But a good deal for someone that doesn’t want a body lift. Are those really coil over shocks or am I dumb?

Depends how much you’d want to spend. The Pro already has a pretty awesome suspension, comparable or better to what you intend to purchase.

I’d go with bigger tires and install one of these kits.
    https://westcottdesigns.net/product/2022-toyota-tundra-trd-pro-preload-collar-lift-kit/?attribute_rear-puck-setup=1.00%22+Rear+Pucks&attribute_finish=Black+Anodize&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAi6uvBhADEiwAWiyRdhhEwEj03C_Vv17ci0UlsOA401xu0_IzAhympdOlA7Bbg_jd7BmJcBoCu-gQAvD_BwE

Lots here highly frown upon doing spacers or lift kits of this type mentioned above. I Will state Wescott quality products, others complain it makes the suspension too stiff.
If you want just the looks these should suffice. But the Pro suspension paired with the Westcott may work just fine, in terms for offroad use.

I personally have a TRD Off road paired with Cornfed 2/1 spacers. Made my suspension a little stiffer with 34.7 inch tires ( 295/70R18). Still rides good, no issues off-roading, nothing crazy for my type of off road.
    YMMV
