Also I got a vice and was able to compress the caliper piston in easy enough so don't think it's seized. Didn't see any blown fuse, so it's gotta be that the tail light doesn't have anything plugged in, and causing an open circuit issue, like I had seen in other threads.

Spring Under Axle. Long travel kits convert to it with aftermarket leafs. Or in my case lowered the rear 4" by moving the OEM leaf pack from on top of the axle, to under it

Ok, bumper is off. Wow, so many sensors to unclip, and it's a three piece bumper?!! Had to completed disassemble it to unclip everything.

Got the 6 bed bolts removed. Got the fender pulled out enough to get the spare tire on.

Next step is to go buy some apple juice for my whickey lol.

I'm hoping the Brake Override Malfunction is due to tail lights not being plugged in...but also one of the plugs is missing, wires pulled out of the socket. I see that wire harness is only $45 from Toyota, but it also looks like it's a plug n play from the diagram, but tracing it back, I don't see a connection point.

Plan was to get truck started, then back it into the sloped driveway, and slide the bed off into the garage onto a table. We'll see how far I get. Gotta clean up tools and space first and foremost

Heeey! Was the STOP fuse under the steering wheel that blew. Swear I checked it earlier, but ist one of those tiny fuses and really hard to tell that it blew.

I had already removed the Setrab tran cooler, but forgot to clamp the hoses! I still need to remove the line, or maybe just reconnect the cooler, idk yet.

But at least it's off the street and in my driveway again. Need to clear more space and drag my table with wheels out of the basement up to the garage. Then I can think about pulling the bed off

Oh shit! How much does the bed weigh?? I just remembered I have a topper lift rigged up already to hoist the roof off the jeep. Only supports 250lbs, but if I could use it just for a few moments maybe....be a shame if I brought my garage roof down lol

Technically it will, but I'd need to mock up the taillights and license plate. Out running errands, but I'll have to thoroughly check for undercarriage damage later

Not sure if I missed it or something, but what’s the short term plan? Reason for pulling the bed off? Just to pull mods off?

To check for frame straightness or any other undercarriage damage. Also the bed as a whole will probably need to be replaced. It's all one piece and more than just the side of it is damaged. And I don't believe the shop is gonna want to cut out the damaged parts and reweld in new parts when it's far less time consuming to just replace the bed.

The frame does seem to measure up side to side at 54 1/4". But the left wheel does seem a little crooked

Only just downloaded the detailed estimate for repairs. They didn't even add costs for all the parts they estimated needed to be replaced! And the labor costs they included are about 1/3 of the actual labor costs

Was that off of a "virtual" or video assessment by an adjuster, or did someone from a bodyshop actually look and produce that estimate??

That's the insurance adjusters quote that came out. There's a long wait to get a shop estimate. I have to call them back tomorrow cause their secretary that schedules was out. But expecting not to get to it till first week of August. But it's a highly recommend independent shop, Wreck Effects

I'll probably end up buying the door skins and replacing those myself. Maybe some other things, but only items they've quoted already. Cause they sent out the quotes check to me without me even asking or approving. Called them up and they said ya, claim will stay open until shop can look at it for the supplemental repairs/costs

It'll probably double once the body shop has it :(
