If I recall, your lower stair steps should be on the same plain, so either lower the passenger side or raise the driver, but they look really crisp!

My garage is organized chaos. Were it not for the 'yak racks and the Gladiator stuff, and having the short earth wall on the sides for shelves to put parts and fluids and crap, I'd have no room at all. When I pull in, I can open my door about halfway before risking hitting the extension ladder. And there's total of 8 bikes in there, 3 kid, 5 adult, out of picture, and mower, pressure washer, more shelves between the doors with my oil catch cans and more fluids, car detailing stuff is on the other earth wall. There is a LOT stuffed in here... My wife complains. Often. "We have too much shit!"

I always forget with e-code lights whether you're supposed to continue the plane or not, staircase-like.

IIRC, halogen setting is different from e-code. I think with halogens, passenger is supposed to sit 4" below the center dot headlight measurement, and driver 2" below?

Anyway, I think I need to rotate both bulbs a tiny bit CCW, and drop the passenger side a smidge.

 

I finally found the unicorn I've been looking for for the past three years! I just put this on a little while ago from a guy 200+ miles away...and he delivered it. Best of all, I didn't pay too much for it either. I guess patience does pay off

Meanwhile, got to driving some tonight with the new headlights. I'm closer to dialing them in. I think I've got them just about right, may need to come up a hair. They cast a lot of purple-pink at a distance. It's mildly annoying for me. This shows it a bit, but signs 100ft-300ft ahead are near-lilac if not deep pink.

Im gonna post a pic of my garage soon. A bit cluttered now but I do keep it clean and organized for the most part. Gotta have an organized garage or i'd go crazy!

Also, gotta learn to throw away or sell most of the things youre not using. I have some materials and items that have value and I keep just in case a project comes down the road and need it, but most of the junk I get rid of.

 

Ordered some higher grade hardware for the skid plates. Went ahead and ordered about a hundred other bolts of various Yota sizes as well, for good measure.

 

I'm extremely type A. Having a garage not organized spikes my anxiety. Just how I'm wired. Mine is actually more tidy than Shifty's

I think you've got that backwards. Driver should definitely aim lower than passenger, for oncoming traffic's sake. Thats why the steps on the mini-projectors step down on drivers side, and I believe the cut-off lines should be level

Housings and bulbs are in that cost. Maybe it's $260 (Edit: it was $220).

I'm 90% sure these bulbs are exactly the same as CO brand, they're identical down to the driver label and the tag on the light pigtail. I think I'm just capturing the ugliest of the output for everyone, and being straight-up by showing the worst of it, rather than talking it up.

I do still prefer the output over halogens, though. I think I may end up using these housings for a bake-in project(or), we'll see. Got other things to worry about. But the light output on these is way better than Halogen. Just takes getting used to the cutoff, and the distant pink-out. I'll need to dial them in.

I used 8.8 for my skids as well.

I recently learned SAE grade 5 = M grade 8.8
SAE grade 8 = M grade 10.9

SAE 5 and M8.8 are both tempered, just not as hard as SAE grade 8. But 5/8.8 is the right choice for skids IMO

That color line on the output at the cutoff can be modified, or at least I've seen folks modify their projectors in the past to actually increase the color at the cutoff line. Modders would do a "color mod," generally by adding washers between the glass projector and the metal bowl of the projector to a couple of the bolts holding the body to the glass so as to change the angle the light is projected thru the glass.

This was back in the day on the HID Bi-Xenon projectors though and I'm not sure just how much modding could be done to these tiny projectors. I know the 9006 mini projector bulbs I have on my desk have just three tiny screws holding the glass projector to the rest of the assembly so it would need to be some tiny ass washers in order to make any kind of change to the color output at the cutoff line. LOL.

 

I was going to just use my 9006 minis in the chinesium fogs but due to how the bulb is attached to these, the projector was not horizontally level, it was almost at a 40 degree on output. LOL. I took apart the mini, rotated it so it would close to horizontal once in the fog light assembly and somehow managed to damage the retention mechanism of the mini, so now it rotates pretty much freely. Guess I could have added a dab of jb weld to keep it in place from rotating due to vibration. The light output is nice but the width as already mentioned on these mini projectors is not good.

pass side is better, but i've gotta add a support cause the hole is flimsy. Driver side little lights (fog circuit) have a pretty decent spread, aux lights (bigger) are spread to watch the treeline.

Ya surprised me. There are some charts out there, and this has the descriptions that pretty much show what I'm saying. But is't PSI vs MPa for the exact strength numbers. Have to convert but you get the idea.

choppy chop.... just keep in mind if you cut too much on the passenger side, your wash fluid resi is going to be exposed. Then you'll be looking into a resi relocate. I not only cut much of the plastic, but some of the steel as well. No... actually I think I may have pulled all the plastic out, and cut some steel.

 

I like the fogs further out to the sides. Looks better IMO
