If you can forgive the less-clean lines, the options that stick out further have one additional advantage other than a wider step surface. They help keep door dings from happening. I'm past my 3rd year owning the Shiny TuRD in dense suburbia, and don't have any yet (knocking on wood as I write).

Not cool someone handled that situation that way:mad:….I remove a lot of door panels in my occupation and although sometimes things happen …there is no reason for broken clips on our trucks (or any Toyota for that matter)…the panels remove very friendly when done properly
Glad you got it dialed in tho and it looks awesome!!

What I don't understand is why did they remove the panels if they weren't going to fully disassemble them for wrap? Sounds like they didn't based on the coverage issues.

I totally agree…taking off the panel and busting those plastic welds and wrapping those pieces then improvising your own mounting …damn ya know!
But if/when I may do this …I’ll prob do all that o_O!

When I get around to it, I'll do a full disassemble. I just feel like the wrap would last longer if it wrapped around the back side. I expect to break clips.

Yea it was honestly me not fully paying attention, but I unintentionally ordered the slim version and they had already shipped before I realized it. I actually wanted to get the full size RB10s like on my previous truck, but I’m happy with these for now.

From what year? Is it standard or optional on 1794s. I don’t think mine has it.

I will be getting tow mirrors when I get a trailer. No question about it if the trailer is wide enough. I see so many guys with 8’6” wide trailers and mirrors that might stick out just enough to be in line with the trailer.

Needed to replace my paper air filter so I grabbed an aFe Pro Dry S. I didn't realize there were two different sizes (rigid and flex) and just bought the first one that was for my model year tundra. That was a mistake. Got it sorted out, now time for the oil change.

all these years later, you still got this set up? How did you like the vertical tire gate? Looks like a great solution to full size spare mounts

Clayed and waxed it and got rid of 90% of the damage from a recent trip through the trails.

Added the TRD grille badge today. Can't remember if that adds 50HP or 100HP, so going with 100HP.

Think an easy fuel would work on the Tundra ? ...our Ford work trucks have this and it's a nice set-up. Never once had fuel spit out either, always a crisp cut off. Great not having to mess with a cap.

nope. There are sensors all over. My truck threw a CEL soley because the cap wasn’t closing enough (spring inside the cap was broken).

I hate those stupid things. Nothing more irritating than not being able to stick a nozzle in because it won’t open. All the things they could have invested money into, they did it for a stupid gas nozzle in the name of “emissions.” Give me a regular gas cap any day. Gotta carry around what is basically a she-wiz if you need to fill up from a can and if you lose that you’re SOL. I wonder how many thousands of dollars went into those idiotic things.

it’s a pressure thing from what I understand.

That cap was designed for fords specifically.
They are used by dealers to siphon gas out due to the vehicles having to sit for prolong periods for warranty repairs.

I had some time the last couple of days to pull my tailgate and camper door and start on my new style door. I should be able to get it done tomorrow and painted. I'll run it for a bit and make changes if I need to and then powdercoat it.

It has been awhile since I posted anything, but plenty has changed. Most recently I added a CBI hybrid front bumper and a bunch of Diode Dynamics lights. One picture of before obviously.

Installed my dirty deeds resonator this morning. Bolt for the muffler clamp was seized, broke it, drilled out the bolt/nut and then bolted it with a 3/8” bolt I had here. Resonator install was easy I made a bunch of marks so I had location mint. Hole saw right through and it all got wire brushed and re-assembled. Still sounds amazing on throttle and it killed almost all of my drone at highway speeds. Y pipe into Carven TR muffler w dd resonator. F6B19B15-6B02-4210-808D-A5D5D0A786F1.jpg
