To Overland or Not to Overland

  1. I would like to join an Overland Detachment.

  2. I would like to enjoy trail leader, lead day trip(s) and return back to base camp to sleep.

  3. I would like to explore the trails by me, myself and I.

Nope. I know they do consume a bit of air, but the blender is meant to run off of a smaller tank. I'm more worried about the pressure than the volume. The size of a tire valve is limiting of course, but with 2 connected it may be able to keep up. Also, the pressure in the spares shouldn't drop much if any as the pressure in the line- up to the regulator will remain at the compressor switch value of 135-150. I just don't know how/if the grinder would run at such a low pressure of 45psi. This is all just in theory so far, but the grinder they use is only about $60 so I'll probably buy one to test. For science... (edit) and margarita's

Oh - it's 90 PSI max. I thought it was lower. I lost my new 40 PSI fixed regulator which I will surely find after T2S. It's for my water tank, but I'll get a 90 as well when I order.

Update: I ordered this back in February, got an immediate confirmation and receipt via email. Seemed like a great way for me to contribute to the party.

Unfortunately, I've received no subsequent communication from Absolute-Wits-End since. No response to my multiple emails sent to both listed emails, and the voicemail stays full.

After waiting patiently for a month, during which I found no good reviews and all bad reviews for customer service, I plan to contact my cc to cancel. I don't want to not keep my promise but cannot afford to take a more than $300 hit. Plus, dozens of bad reviews piling up makes me think this will soon go the way of Pelfreybilt and BX Built. Joey seems to exactly fit the profile of genius fab guy that can't be bothered to contact a customers or balance a check book.

Anyone on here feel like building a blender? I'll pay you for it, if you want to sell what you build. If not, I guess I'll bring a regular blender o_O and look for the best generator.

This is posted in both the general and Best Gen to T2S threads because it's been conversation in both.

Yeah I didn't think BAMF went bad - I bought a bracket from them last year during the 5150 group buy and had no issues.

BAMF picked up Pelfreybilt's old inventory I think. Is that what you mean, @Sunnier?

Dammit! I did not mean to malign a good fabrication company. Trying to do too many things at the same time and screwed up big time. Thanks to those of you that got right in it, letting be know the I subbed in the hero for the villain. I did an edit.

Please, those of you that quoted my posts, please edit yours and delete mine that you quoted. That way we can prevent the bots from spreading my misinformation widely. Thanks, Guys.

I’m planning on bringing a blender (already bought it just for the occasion). Even have a shirt to go with it too.

Cruzer has a big ass inverter too so just a blender would be needed if you wanted to bring one. Unfortunately, I think both of us aren’t arriving until at least Thursday so if people are thirty earlier on in the week they might have to wait..

Been wondering why we’re trying to make an air blender, I must’ve missed something. But yes, I can power a blender, a die grinder….. I just want to drink this damn thing :bananadance:

Since I won’t be able to attend this year’s trip (damn school schedule put spring break a month too early!) I figured I’d do my civic duty while in Sedona and pre-run some trails for you all!
We ran Soldier’s Pass yesterday. Fun narrow route with a few technical ledges and some slabs with cracks to navigate. Features a great lunch spot (7 pools) and ends with a cool hike to a cave. Trail is wide enough to avoid major pinstriping, but pretty tight over all. One factor I wasn’t prepared for was the hikers that share the trail with the 4x4s… a couple times we had an audience of 25 people watching us climb a shelf…

Anyone else just planning on sleeping in the tundra? I haven't bought tents in years but may need to invest in one. I'm planning on being there Friday and Saturday so only sleeping one night but might be able to stay until Sunday night.

In the cab or the bed? I have a camper shell and have slept in the bed of my truck before. It beats setting up a tent in my opinion. Unless you have multiple people.

I haven't decided yet, I could definitely fit in the bed with some blankets under me but the driver's seat would also do. It'll be just me and I'm not to picky so I think I'll just wing it.

I’ll have a tent and stuff with me, but looks like I’m staying with Jake in his buddy’s trailer. I’m sure we can accommodate
