It’s pretty unreal! I like to think we have the best scenery wheeling through the Sierra Nevadas, but the Sedona vistas are pretty hard to beat!

Picked up a new bumper. The Warn semi hidden kit PN 103209. It retails for $973.99 I scored it for $350 from a guy on FB. Story was, he received the bumper and realized the bull bar had been welded on backward from the factory, causing it to be angled toward the grill instead of away from it.

I made some modifications, and I’m pretty happy with the look.

 

Next up is sourcing a winch. I am shopping around, I’ve always been a Warn guy, but those Badlands Apex winches are hard to beat price wise.

Well, %25 Memorial Day sale made it hard to pass up. $517 out the door. Time to get it all mounted up.

 

New bumper time!! Finally got around to installing the Warn semi hidden winch mount bumper, and the Apex 12 winch.

Install was relatively straightforward, although the instructions from Warn were lacking a bit, and it took quite a bit of wiggling and tweaking to get everything lined up just right. But all in all not too tough.

Didn't have to relocate the control box in the winch, just cut a 2x16" section out of the factory bumper cross bar. It's a little snug getting the controller plug in, but works fine.

Finally upgraded my recovery gear storage from a yellow top Costco tote...

Scored the Harbor Freight rifle case on sale for $99, and managed to fit all my gear in there. Matchy Matchy too! And the best part is it fits in the bed under the tonneau box!

Used my winch for the first time, to clear a fallen tree off the trail. Couldn't get the wireless controller to work, so had to plug it in... time to troubleshoot that.
