    Howdy folks!

Just picked up my new 2015 SR5 Crewmax this weekend. Now in the process of getting it setup for my needs.

I'm in the market for a retractable tonneau cover, but want to be able to attach bicycle fork mounts to the canister. Another option would be to somehow attach the fork mounts to the bed rail, forward of the canister.

The goal would be to be able to mount the bikes to fork mounts with the cover open or closed.

Has anyone done or seen something like this?

    Thanks!

Have not seen it but seams very possible. If not to the canister, attaching some large angles to the bed rail in front of the canister is very doable.

Think I have this figured out. I can fabricate a bracket to move the forward accessory rail and locate it above the canister for the cover. That would allow me to use any brand cover I chose. Just have to make sure that down tube of the bike clears the rear edge of the canister when the cover is open.

Any preference here between the RollBak and the Retrax?

    Thanks!

Some Tonneaus makes ones that have a rail system on the side for bed crossbars

I lucked out and found a RetraxPRO on Craigslist for $600! It is two years old and in perfect condition. I couldn't pass that deal up.

I ended up having to mount to the top cover of the Retrax, as I would have to unbolt the bed from the frame to get proper access to the front side of the bed to mount an additional bracket. Thankfully the cover of the Retrax Pro is a sturdy aluminum extrusion. The finished assembly is nice and stout. The first picture is the stock cover. The following two show the rail and bike mounts attached.

That's awesome. You got a good deal and did a good job with the install of the rail.
It would be awesome if you could add a DIY write up on it to help others with the install.

Thanks guys! I'll do a write up as soon as I solve the issue of securing the rear wheels with the cover closed. Hope to have that figures out this week.
