Why did my rear doors retain water?

Kind of a head scratcher…we had some steady rain all day one day this week. I took the kids and my wife out for a few hours in the truck. Two days pass and I opened the rear doors and they start steady dripping water. I feel all around the door jamb and the only place wet is the bottom of the door where the water was coming out. It was on both rear doors.

Has anyone else seen this? Is it something to be concerned about?

I wonder if it has to do with the shit rear window split seals that everyone is having replaced? Those have to let water/rain pour into the inner door.

His door is likely functioning correctly. Those seals aren't water tight. All doors on all vehicles take in water. That's why they have drains usually on the bottom near the corner. They're designed that way.

I seriously do not remember this happening on my Tacoma or any other vehicle I’ve owned. Is there anything I need to check or do to make sure it is sealed properly or just write it off as something that is normal that I haven’t noticed before?

My Tundra has had fairly catastrophic water leak issues. At one point the dealership noted my rear driver side door was also leaking and replaced some seals there, but the water leaks continued from a few other spots as well.
