Prior owner thought it didn't need a driver grab handle. He was wrong. Any genuine Toyota parts light gray ones to be had anywhere these days??

My grab handle from Sparks has been on back order since November 2022. I'd search elsewhere.

If you can find an older, I believe 2014 Tundra it will have the grab handle. That's where the Ebay guys get them from.

Have you called them about it? I wonder if they just stopped making them. I bought and in stalled one of the kits two or three years ago and it seemed like the Toyota genuine parts branded kits were all over the internet back then. I wonder what happened

I’ve emailed them once a month since December and each time the response is “next month”. They claim to be waiting on them from Toyota.

Is this for the A Pillar on the drivers side or something different? When I type that in, it wants to sell me some A pillars with handles…

If yours is a 2017 model, I don't have a definitive answer for you. In 2019 there wasn't an option for a driver's side assist handle on an SR5.
Somebody, somewhere high up in management decided that Sequoia drivers needed the handle and Tundra drivers didn't.
Many of the front end and interior parts are shared with the Sequoias. I ordered one from Toyota of Cool Springs and it's a Sequoia part.
Mine is part #74610-0C082-B0, grip assy, assist. Three years ago the price was $47.75.

Just grabbing the first one that shows up on parts.toyota.com but correct me if I am wrong, that's only the handle?
Don't we also need a new A pillar trim piece that accommodates the handle itself?

You need the handle and the trim. Two items.

@bulldog93 is correct, you'll need the trim piece with attachment points for the grab handle. part numbers depend on your interior color i believe. here's both for the grey pieces:

    left pillar trim handle:
    62220-0C050-B0

    interior grab bar:
    74610-0C082-B0

I just went through this a couple weeks ago when I got my 19 Tundra. I had the grab handle in my old 17 Tundra and figured it would be easy to find one. Wrong. Apparently they’re on nationwide back order. However, what I did was call every Toyota dealer I could Google and ask if they had the parts in stock. I got lucky and got one from a dealer that had one but didn’t have an online parts store. Not all dealers have online parts stores, so I’d just start calling places.

Also be careful. Several online dealers didn’t have the back order notice and when I called to confirm they had the parts, they then told me it was back ordered. So don’t believe everything you see online.

Edit: When I called either Sparks or Cool Springs to see if they had one, they were able to pull up other dealers that showed the part in stock. Might wanna start there. I was lucky to find one at a dealer in Maryland who had ordered one for a customer but the person canceled it because it was such a long wait time.

What are the part numbers for this kit. I'll just order separately so I don't have to wait on spark parts kit to get in stock??

I tried to look up the part numbers that are posted on the spark parts kit but it looks like it's the regular a pillar trim piece that doesn't have the holes for the handle...

You mean there's a Toyota part number for the kit or are you talking about separate part numbers for all the different pieces and parts that you need to do this?

What I need is the Toyota part numbers for all the pieces and parts in the kit so I can order it separately. I don't think they're going to make the complete boxed kit anymore

If I was in the room with the jackwagon at Toyota that recommended the removal of the driver's grab handle

Each of the grab handle items required has a specific Toyota part number. The Sparks number is only for what they packaged as a total.

I can get all the nut screws and washers from Ace. I just need the part number for the a pillar trim piece in the handle itself. When I look up the part number for the a-pillar trim piece it looks like just the regular flat one that's already in my truck. That's based on using the apillar trim piece part number that's on the sparks part kit page

Maybe they discontinued the part numbers for the '07 to 13 with the grab handle and just switched over to the non grab handle apillar trim piece that covers 07 to 21 tundras
