I ordered a Platinum long bed in WCP Nov. 2021 from Longo Toyota. I checked in with them once a quarter and the last time I talked to the sales person he said I was #1 on the waiting list.
There was not much hope though since it's a crap shoot if Toyota will allocate the build I was looking for.
I finally started looking on Autotrader, opened up the distance and found the exact truck at Handy Toyota in VT.
I'm in the SF Bay Area so 3,000 miles away. Found a transport company with help from this forum.
it's going to cost $2200 to transport and take 7-10 days.
With all that said, I paid MSRP and wired my downpayment yesterday.
    The wait is almost over!

Really? not a single Platinum long bed in WCP in the western hemisphere. I looked. BTW, the SF bay area is still asking 10K over MSRP.
Also, the few I found would not sell out of state. Found one in Florida but it was hybrid and that wasn't what I wanted either.

There are 13 WCP long bed hybrid Platinum Tundra's in the country. There's only 1 on the ground and the other 12 are in pre-production

Awesome! I was just looking at a 1794 Hybrid WCP 6.6LB just across the lake from St. Albans VT. Opted not to get since it add the airbags.

This one isn’t a hybrid. Idk if that changes anything. Either way, nice truck dude. I love my long bed. Good luck

    Hi fellow SFer

Looks cool but I'd be too scared to buy without test driving it. Some of these have wind noises which aren't pleasant to deal with... Nor have full resolution yet.

Let me know if you have any other questions and we can chat Tundra

Amazing how our needs are different. I had to scour the earth to find a 1794 hybrid with AVS!

Congrats to the OP for finding your unicorn!

Congrats man. I was waiting since July 2021 from Longo. Had my "unicorn" spec at MSRP waiting for me and then just last week I found the same spec truck but with Hybrid and Panoramic roof so I jumped on it - MSRP also. Things are changing.

Congrats on your uni truck. I also got my uni..red 1794 6.5 hybrid with no add ons whatsoever except the auto side steps. That priced it at 69k where most red 6.5 were at 74-75k due to all the factory add ons.

My fault, don't know why I thought hybrid. There's 30 total non-hybrids. His is actually the only one with wheels on ground. The rest are all not at dealers yet.

Funny thing is, I didn't want the hybrid just because of the extra storage under the back seat. This really was the exact build I originally requested from Longo.

You realize now that you got your unicorn incoming, Longo will get their allocation with your exact spec :anonymous: haha jk congrats! Nice feeling to get exactly what you want in this type of ‘allocation’ market

I guess my Pro is a unicorn since they are also above MSRP and hard to get.

I feel like getting any trim in exact configuration is a unicorn. Always something like power running boards or air suspension for me that made me hard pass. OP just sharing his stoke we all had when getting our truck

Update on my original post, I found a transport company for $1200.00. now only a little over msrp. Also, got the dealer to throw in oem whether mats.
