How on earth did I miss this thread and opportunity to post whore...

 

Apparently I missed this thread too… first two after a little light rain in SoCal and last is the cross post after the install (on 295/70/18s)

 

I really need to get some good pictures of my F5s. Love these wheels.

 

Hoping to get my F5’s mounted this week.

 

SR8 on Toyo Open Country AT3 295/70/18

 

Another set of bronze Ray 10s.

 

The SCS wheels appear pretty competitively priced. I was planning to go with an OEM 18” wheels but, these look really good.

I’m gonna run a small tire; 275/70R18. I don’t like the wheel/tire to stick out much beyond the fender lip. How do these wheels with a +25 offset compare to the OEM +60 offset in terms of fitment?

Here's a picture of the "poke" with 295/70/18's. It's the perfect offset IMO. I don't have a compare/contrast with stock tires but this might help you out some.

Here’s my 275/70/18 with SCS wheels. Just a bit of poke. I would assume with the OEM it would pull it in a bit but then there is more risk of tire rub.

Yep +25. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I can just see them in the side mirror backing down the driveway.

 

I'm looking at the Ray10.

Do the factory lug nuts work or are new lug nuts necessary?

You can always outreach them and see, but I think with the different offset its best to buy theirs since they are longer and color matched as well.

 

I have only ever used there lugs. I don’t think the oem work on the SCS wheels.

Here's a good view with 275/70/18 Coopers and +25 SCS wheels. The tread is just at the edge of the fender, the sidewall is out a little more. Perfect offset IMO. And no, the factory lug nuts will not work, you'll need the SCS lugs or the Gorilla equivalent. These require the 14x1.50 ET cone seat lug nuts for aluminum wheels.

Here is my first set of tires on my SCS wheels: BFgoodrich KO2 275/70/18


Toyo Open Country AT3 295/70/18

Fills up the wheel well a little better compare to the 275/70.
Also gain 1” poke in width. This is the sweet spot for this setup without worrying about kicking rocks to your door panel.

Just got some SCS Ray10's with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 295/70/18. Now I giggle like a school girl every time I see my truck.

 

Had SCS Stealth 6s on my Tacoma and holding out hoping they’ll eventually have Blaze 10s for 5 lug 2nd gens.
