Far closer to Flagstaff than Sedona, which is ok, because I might actually be able to make it then...

Ok I just read 28 pages I want my 15 minutes back.

Ya'll sound fun. If you need an local intel I live in Flagstaff.

Currently the forest is soggy as shit and T2S has got a month to hope that it doesn't stay that way. Typically we hate Spring Winds but it's gonna be the only that dries us out at this point.

Maybe I'll do ya'll a solid and ride out there to investigate the state of the proposed camping area.

Please send me some brewery and restaurant suggestions for Flagstaff. We're staying there 3 nights before we go to the campsite.

It’s only 12 miles to Sedona if you take Schnebly Hill.

Lumberyard is a good spot to eat with local brews, but most locals prefer Mother Road for their Tower Station IPA. We've got a lot of breweries in town but not all of them have good food. Lumberyard has good food and OK beer. Mother Road has good beer but ok food. DSB is similar.

    Flag Brew is kinda shitty.

Historic is good but outside of the downtown. Also felt like their food prices were a bit much for what you got.

Dark Sky Brewery (DSB) is for the adventurous beer lovers. Personally I'm not an IPA fan and DSB is great because they do some weird shit like Cucumber Jalapeno Wheat. If that grosses you out, that's ok, because it'll be gone in a week never to be seen again. They are very experimental like that. I know many locals hate that because you might find something you love then it never returns. For tourists, it's great.

Also, we've got Drinking Horn Meadery in town that pumps out some sweet honey beer.

We've got to set some record for Thai Joint per capita. I think we've got like 8 Thai joints in town.

If you into Indian Food there are two good places in town. A good value eatery is Ho Hot Mongollian grill. AYCE for $16. Speaking of all-you-can-eat, Teppan Fuji offers a $16 AYCE sushi lunch if you're into raw fish.

If you prefer the smaller Mom and Pop type places, La Fonda is popular for Mexican.

Diners and Dives made a stop at Salsa Brava for their gigantic sopapilla. They've also got a salsa bar which is kinda cool. When it comes to Mexican food I love all the add-ins, so having a variety of salsa is my jam.

We've got two BBQ places in town, one in the basement of an old department store downtown (Bigfoot BBQ) and another off 4th Street called Satchmo's. I think Satchmo's is better.

Last but least if you poor like me, you might slip onto the campus of Northern Arizona University and hit up the On-Campus Dining experience for a $16 AYCE meal and feel young again.

Almost said something about doing it fully loaded over GVWR at highway tire pressure but decided it wasn’t worth it.

Might lose some teeth - but I’d bank on the motor mounts staying in one piece.

Might as well bring some extra tierods and ball joints for Schnebly Hill Rd.

It's great fun though, if you're lucky you might find the lost tourist who got in way over their head in their CRV.

So for those of us traveling across the country, should we pull over and air down before attempting?

Speaking of air. I'm used to off road parks where they have air. For those of us without on board air, where's the closest place to fill our tires?

I’d highly recommend coming in off I-17 to first setup camp. You can do that at highway pressure. You’ll want to lower tire pressure for the section of Schnebly closer to Sedona.

There is a Shell gas station about 2-3 miles from camp. Tons of people with air would probably let you use some if you don’t have a compressor.

Yep. I don't have on board air but I have a Smittybilt compressor I'm bringing. It's pretty quick. Anyone is welcome to use it. @DJenerated

I've been posting pictures of his truck and his shop. He has an awesome setup. Even the shop logo on the side is tasteful. Cool name too. He should name his kid Oregano.
