Need help with missing trim

I discovered a missing part of the trim that keeps dirt out of the hood hinge area. I think it was missing from the factory, I only have 2000 miles on the truck. I went to the dealership to have one ordered and the cost was SHOCKING. They said it would be $483.00 dollars, I declined to order it. I think they looked up the wrong part, I hope. The number they gave me is 55703-0c040. I refuse to believe a small plastic part is that expensive. I looked it up on the Toyota parts website but there is not enough detail for my pea brain to figure out what I need. I hope someone here knows the correct part number.

Any help would be apricated.

 

No way that thing is $483. That's a cowl trim piece and shouldn't be more than $70-80 at most. I'll see if I can find it.

 

Any other pictures of the truck closer to delivery / pick up that may show if the piece was always missing? if so, they owe you a trim piece.

 

I would think that would be a warranty thing. Not seeing anything on parts for that specific piece. The one you have listed is labeled as a reinforcement and that price is insane for rubber. I'll go see if there's a part number on mine shortly.

 

It's a cowl panel end cap, but I can't find a part number for the 22.
