No more SR trim

Y’all I just found out Toyota isn’t making anymore SR trims. I have an SR trim 4 by 4 double cab 2022 and was thinking about upgrading to an SR5 double cab base no options 4 by 4 to get the drive modes, tow haul, and adjustable seats. That jump would cost me like 10k as I paid 46 k for my SR and the SR5 base version of my SR is 56 k. It literally would be adding what I mentioned above. Seems like a steep jump for drive modes, tow haul and adjustable seats. Might just have to get a seat booster and forgo those drive modes and tow haul
Just gonna keep my SR until I am ready to make the jump to a limited crew max. What do y’all think?

A year ago I bought a 22 Tundra Limited TRD-OR 4x4 DC for $56K It had more features than SR5 for sure. 8way elect seats, Heat/cool front seats, 12 speaker JBL, 14" screen... Unless the SR5 you were looking at had all those and them some options, it shouldn't of been $56k.

 

Yeah, the seats in my base sr5 cm are the same as the sr. I think you have to get a premium package with the soft Tex seats for power??

 

Yes you do get more HP and Torque with the SR5

I must have overpaid for my SR 4 by 4 double cab then cause it was 46 k with 4200 miles on it. Sounds like I could have gotten an SR5 base version of my SR for the same money and would have at least had more HP, torque, tow haul, and the drive modes with the SR5

 

The tow haul mode is nice when towing and I did use the crawl mode once this winter when I got it stuck in a ditch so there is some purpose Ive gotten out of them. I have the heated Soft Tex seats in my SR5 Off Road and in winter they are nice. I paid just under $54K for mine off the lot last summer. I wouldve bought the SR model though if it had the same engine performance package which was the only reason I went with the SR5.

Yes that is what the dealership said in my area. He tried to build one on his software and it wasn’t an option offered for now.

 

Is it possible they are just allocating resources to other trims at the current time as opposed to discontinuing the trim altogether?

 

That’s what I think.

 

They still have the SR in the build section of Toyota.com
Although it could be a regional thing since the build site is based on region.
