On aftermarket UCA- how often should you have to replace upper bushings? I was doing brakes today and while i had the wheel off i noticed a little bit of play in the bushing. Its the drivers side control arm- rear bushing. I could grab the arm and rock it and it would slightly move. Its tight and full of grease per instructions. I really don't run off-road - mostly highway driving. (although some of our local roads are terrible--Haha)

I just replaced the bushings a couple years ago. I have put roughly 38,000 miles on them since replacement . Not really something I want to keep doing every couple years.

Do I have something else going on or is this normal?

What'd you use when you replaced them? I replaced mine at around 70k miles (which is about 50k miles on the same bushings).

good question. I am glad you asked- went back through my emails and I used bushing kit from Dirt King last time. Was told they were the same. The fit was perfect

I have Fabtech uppers so I'm sure I had polyurethane to begin with but I went ahead and swapped with new poly. I also bought new UCA bolts & hardware from Toyota and did everything at once (used red loctite).

i wonder if the grease I used has caused any issue with bushing material deteriorating?

I think a GL-5 rated grease is fine
