Have you done any service to the front/rear diffs before this? That's what I would be most concerned about.

Differentials are recommended as 75w85 GL5 you can use any recommended GL5 fluid. Mobil 1, Valvoline, Castrol all make a GL5 75w90 that is better than the factory 75w85. Redline makes a 75w85 I used last time which was good. I still had to add friction modifier though, even though it doesn’t call for it. Your tundra doesn’t have a true limited slip so that is not a big concern. The one thing I’d recommend using is the Toyota spec 75LF for the transfer case 1.5 quarts and the stuff is expensive. Toyota oils are Exxon Mobil but no cross reference per Exxon Mobil commercial representatives; I called tech support in regards to this. There are other brands like Ravenol or Lubriguard but they don’t work as well. Some binding when shifting when in out of 4WD hi and low. I’m sure you can see reports of this in other forums as well. And yes I over think too
much. Oil really is just oil, it’s the add packs that make the difference for the seals and everything else.

I’m regards to transmission just use the Toyota brand or Aisin ( transmission manufacturer ) recommended fluid. Use which ever is available. The filter in our trucks is strictly a mesh screen no need to change it. If you do it yourself you can look up YouTube videos on how to do it properly; a tech tool can make it even more exact by being able to check transmission temp and valve actuation.
